But yes, compositors ("DJs") have friends, work obligations with their labels, they should promote somebody else, or they just want to highlight something cool for them. A set containing different artists, maybe even slight genres, is a way more interesting and entertaining (if a DJ knows what to do) than just a simple whole album on play, you know.
@ I don't understand your point, sorry. My point is that you see a lot of these YT DJs butchering songs AND if I want to go further they lack any real originality/creativity. The fact that they butcher old anthems like this and are completely clueless on simple layering shows how talentless they are. It's a case of all the gear no idea.

There are still people producing Jazz, Classical Music, Rock and Techno of course... but the heyday for all these genres has passed... inevitably quality suffers as they are not riding the same cultural wave as in years gone by.
