- The Hiram Bingham train takes you from Cusco to Machu Picchu for $535... Is it worth it?!
On this luxury train, we’re served mimosas while dancing with amazing local performers before boarding the 1920’s style carriage. We are also served a 5 course meal with silver and crystal while seeing beautiful scenery and Peruvian culture fly by outside of the window. There’s a luxurious observation car with live music and bottomless cocktails all for free with the price of the ticket.
This was by far the best way to see Machu Picchu for the first time!

Admittedly I didn't do this journey first class but even the standard seats are really nice.
I walked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu but took the train back to Cuzco.
Definitely the best train journey I've ever done.
I can't wait to visit Machu Picchu. I hear people say to stay in Cusco for at least a day to get your lungs used to the high altitude.
I love trains so much and this one is particularly handsome 😋 That last carriage looks like a dream. $535 it's a tad steep, to say the least, but for those who can afford it, it's definitely an experience. I'd try it, too!

I just checked & IF she was honest this was not a paid advertisement or an affiliate 🚂 trip. This was on her. Unless she failed to disclose it which is illegal.
You wanna do it the cheap way? Watch the channel of the "misias pero viajeras" they have subtitles. They're actually 2 peruvian girls traveling the world the cheap way. On their channel they have diff routes to how arrive to Machu Pichu, one even by walking for the most adventurers. They even give you a budget & tips of how to do all the reservations & where to buy the tickets. It's one of the best channels for travelers.

Lexie, Peru also has another train 🚆 🚆 going from Lima City deep into the Mountains. Going across bridges and tunnels. *Tren Lima a Huancayo*

What an incredible train ride! I could see me being in the observatory section too quite a bit with those views! I'm glad to see that they make the steep price more worthwhile. You could not have picked a more perfect day to visit Machu Picchu! The weather looked like it cooperated very well!

Never new there was luxury trains, now thats traveling in style for sure! Never new that there are earth quakes in Machu Picchu amazing how the structures don't fall.
My suggestion for a Luxury train travel is Kyushu Seven Stars.

Sis, may I suggest you to go Ceylon or Sri Lanka for a ride from Colombo to Ella, the view all the way from the coast and beaches, to the lowland swamps and woods, to the highland pine forests and tea plantations, all the view is so stunning! Suggest taking the second class seats as you can always hang outside the door with the handles and breath the fresh air while admiring the mighty views during the journey!

You are so lucky with the weather on this vlog! And your timing is good. I went on the first bus up from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu and it was shrouded in fog. It was nearly midday by the time in cleared up. So good decision on coming in the afternoon.

Trains are way overrated,
except for the Bullet ones that get you there faster than planes.
In as beautiful as it is. There's no way I'd pay that much for a train ride 🤣🤣. But glad you and others there enjoyed it. Great experience

Machu Pichu wasn't in my bucket list truth be told but looking at you brimming over with enthusiam , i probably was led into to a dream like state for the entire length of this video , as for train rides , have you tried the Flam train ride in Norway , Lexie ?
You can try the 1st class night train from Paris to Briançon or noght train from Paris to the Austrian capital. Also, have a look at midnight trains, soon arriving in Europe

There is a luxury train experience in México called "el chepe" Its in the north and goes in the Mountains
I took the Hiram Bingham train in December 2017. Considering what's included, it's worth the price.
