@@me_bee_ste_1355 one cut is required - the post for the "security screw". Whatever you do, don't make the mistake of putting the security screw in, a costly mistake as it would cut the screen ribbon cable.
@@paulmai Thank you for the fast response back to me! 🙂 Ok I definitely won't make that mistake, going to hide the security screw to make sure I don't put it in lol. So with this kit I don't have to cut the plastic edge of the front case to allow the screen to fit? Seen so many people cutting the front case.. Thanks again Paul!
Danke Mann, dein Video hat mir sehr geholfen. Auch wenn der Trick mit den Draht am LCD Anschluss bei mir nicht so funktioniert hat, es ist elementar das man die Verbindungen dort prüft sonst kommt nur rauschen. Mir war ehrlich gesagt nicht ganz klar wofür die Klebepads waren und das man das Standardgehäuse bearbeiten muss, damit es reinpasst.

(Sorry, ich weiß nicht genau, wie die Bauteile heißen) Nachtrag Nummer 2 (gilt nur für Besitzer der 1 ASIC): Auf der abfotografierten Platine auf der Seite von AliExpress sind die Kabel fälschlicherweise vertauscht. Das schwarze Kabel von "P2" müsste eigentlich an Drehrad 3, auf dem Bild ist es aber an C38 gelötet; das gelbe Kabel von "2" müsste eigentlich an C38, ist aber ans Drehrad 3 gelötet. Da muss man aufpassen! Ist auch so im Text beschrieben, aber im Bild halt falsch dargestellt...

Hello, I didn't have the problem with the buttons. Try new rubber pads or clean the board. IPS mod is just the display conversion, It has nothing to do with buttons. I have (2chip)assis board, which one do you have? With (1chip) Assics board you have to wire differently.
I have the same problem screen works fine but in my case none of the buttons are working (start ,1 and 2 buttons) you got any luck with your game gear button? I have a 1 assic board and I followed the 1 assic guide installation
I finally found the solution problem was in the guide(1 asic) they have the cables in the wrong position if you see the photos they have yellow cable going to the contrast weel and the black cable going to the resistence just invert them (yellow cable needs to be un resistence and black cable in the contrast weel) and Star button Will work again
@@messatsu1981 if You have 2 assic model then follow the video, there is nothing wrong with it, problem is if you have the 1 assic model(which is not shown in the video) you have to follow the guide from internet, in that guide is where the cables are in the wrong position in the pictures they show, so u have to change them

Hi! Mal ein großes DANKESCHÖN für die detaillierte Anleitung! Bei mir tritt jedoch das Problem auf, dass die Farbe Blau extrem ausgewaschen angezeigt wird. Sonic ist fast schon weiß statt kräftig blau. Hat jemand eine Idee, woher das kommt? Hab die selbe Platinenversion wie im Video und auch exakt so verkabelt. Danke und Liebe Grüße Stefan
the ribbon soldering was a bit rough for me. didn't need the wires to be fair. its designed to flow over the joints. it works so thats the main thing. im just ocd with soldering

@@me_bee_ste_1355my case was a new one from eBay. A guy sells them brand new. My case had little pegs that stick out all round the screen on the inside. Just snipped them all off as the screen wouldn’t sit flush. You have to cut off the security screw one anyway. Some mod screens require you to cut the plastic surround down. My screen I got didn’t require that. It sat very good and had a plastic bit that goes round the screen too to hold it straight and in place. Been a while since I did it. Done 2 now. Kids got board of them so they in the loft now

Googling it or testing it yourself...If the parts you ordered look exactly the same, then it must fit.
