2016 Continuous Downpour In Bhutan

There had been a continuous downpour almost all around the country in 2016 and caused flash flooding in many places.
The sudden downpour filled the gutters and drains of Phuntsholing Town. The continuous downpour also affected the movement of buses, taxis & other vehicles.
The another story was that the entire Sarpang Town alongside the river bank, gradually washed away by the heavy flood and many businessmen had lost their belongings.
Sometimes we have to travel in the dangerous hilly areas to reach our destinations. However, it is not advisable with the continuous downpour. We have to do away with constructing houses on the riverbanks, hilly areas, flooded areas, etc because there are high chances of occurring landslides and flash floods, especially during the monsoon season.
