I am curious about how this channels viewers feel about Nigel Ferret's appearance in late October on RTE. He was acidly chiding the Republic Of Ireland for staying in the EU "after having spent 500 years breaking away from the yoke of British oppression". My first thought was how well this comment would play in ads during the next Independence Referendum in Scotland.
British bloody oppression would be a massive understatement if you know anything about Irish history. Lets see being part of the EU has thrown of the yoke of British economic reliance and hence control and opened up the EU for trade. Last I heard the EU hasn’t screwed up Ireland unlike the Brits and what Westminster is currently doing to Scotland.
Great stuff Lesley! I worry about the social media manipulators. Cambridge Analytics wasn't up and running in 2014 until just after the vote. Misinformation is our enemy.
Independence is the only way forward for Scotland if we want to achieve anything. Only then can we break free from the tyranny of full-blown Capitalism. By having our own Nationalised Energy Provider, we'd open industry to its full potential. Not only would be all be driving electric vehicles, and improving all aspects of the environment; from toxic pollution to sound pollution, but we'd revolutionise the way our food is produced too, no longer at the mercy of the elements but quality produce grown within huge greenhouses, hydroponic skyscrapers, etc. Thus, we could go vertical rather than using too much of nature's space, and ruining the beauty of our Country.
The SNP could do so much more for Scotland, but they'd rather sit and allow the way of England to remain in place. We need an actual Scottish Government using Devolution as the path to full Independence, not this stupid lazy Administration based in Edinburgh. The structures of Education, of the NHS, of local Councils, etc, these need to be made Scottish, for Scots.

Leslie, I totally agree with that

I found Mark's questioning to be somewhat rambling at times, in fact not asking a question at all.
Not only did he not finish sentences, he didn't finish words!
Apologies, Les(ley)

Found it difficult to get past the initial condescension and belittling of Mark. It was unpleasant and frankly uncalled for. Not nice.
Your own interpretation, a wee bit of banter, nothing nasty at all.
Scotland is not a state it's a country same as Wales
very negative interview i felt.
