I'm about a quarter way through right now and I'm thinking that Daniel's cough might be more then just a cough. When Max used her powers too much she got bloody noses and such, so I'm thinking it might be similar with him.
Honestly, I think Intervening was the better option. Daniel is becoming spoiled, using his powers whenever he wants to, even though he should be hiding them to prevent attracting unwanted attention. I think not intervening is teaching him to be vengeful and stops him from preventing his emotions to take over his power will end up in him hurting or even killing a human with his powers if he thinks his actions have no consequences.
Spoiler: In my opinion Mushroom should have lived. Why does every game or movie have to kill off an animal just for shock value? I'm probably salty because I love animals but it doesn't make sense to me.

Realize that Claire is the lady that came to check on the kid towards the end of the game when the kid's dad was drunk. At the ending when he fell out of the tree house, he was hovering. Not because he had powers. It was because Daniel saved him. Daniel and Sean are the two people who were there at the end looking at him from next door.

it was actually unnecessary to kill the cougar since it also wasn't the cougar fault. It's just trying to search for food the same way Sean try to catch some rabbit to be eaten at the beginning of the game. The only things that make it a hard choice are that we've known mushroom but not the cougar, that makes it looks like the cougar is the bad guy here which actually isn't.

The cougar wasn't trying to be mean or anything killing Mushroom, it was just possibly pregnant and desperate for food and its a predator so it has to kill to eat. In the moment I was just scared it would hurt Daniel or Sean if Daniel put it down. Seeing that it just runs off if you put it down makes me wish I hadn't chosen to kill it.
i’m not that upset mushroom died. i kinda predicted it, not because it’s a common trope, but because they are two underage boys trying to travel from seattle all the way to freakin’ mexico. there’s no way that they would’ve been able to take care mushroom, they can barely take care of themselves! i don’t think they killed off mushroom because she would probably have ended up suffering much more throughout the game. it shows that not everything is gonna end up working out for them, just like not everything did in the first game, and in before the storm. these characters were set up to suffer. mushroom was no different.

it was actually unnecessary to kill the cougar since it also wasn't the cougar fault. It's just trying to search for food the same way Sean try to catch some rabbit to be eaten at the beginning of the game. The only things that make it a hard choice are that we've known mushroom but not the cougar, that makes it looks like the cougar is the bad guy here which actually isn't.
@@justahuman8621 yeah I felt bad for that reason too. The cougar wasn't trying to be mean or anything killing Mushroom, it was just possibly pregnant and desperate for food and its a predator so it has to kill to eat. In the moment I was just scared it would hurt Daniel or Sean if Daniel put it down. Seeing that it just runs off if you put it down makes me wish I hadn't chosen to kill it.

i’m not that upset mushroom died. i kinda predicted it, not because it’s a common trope, but because they are two underage boys trying to travel from seattle all the way to freakin’ mexico. there’s no way that they would’ve been able to take care mushroom, they can barely take care of themselves! i don’t think they killed off mushroom because she would probably have ended up suffering much more throughout the game. it shows that not everything is gonna end up working out for them, just like not everything did in the first game, and in before the storm. these characters were set up to suffer. mushroom was no different.

I saw the trailer as an ad before watching this exact video and I got excited after seeing the boy from the trailer was in the game! When the grandmother mentioned that her neighbors are having a hard time as the man lost his wife and he's with his son, I instantly knew it was all linked.
