Without spoiling too much, there's some overarching narratives, but they're definitely not the main point of the game, which is more about experiencing your own journey through the land. And while the stories and their branches are pre-written, we as designers don't control your path. For me, the most fun is the interconnecting nature of the different story beats and players piecing those together as they play. 😊
Great video! Thoughtful. This is definitely a combo game book board game, or maybe a game book with components, and I love it! :) I can't stop thinking about it. Might be my game of the year. With a few tweaks I'd like to see in an expansion, or maybe in a sequel, this could be a top 10 contender. It's just so effortlessly fun, charming, and wonderous. I'm in awe of the design.
I've been waiting for this video :) As usual, your perspective is well explained. Only one comment, beside the fact that I really enjoyed to watch this review - The title which you gave to the game is incorrect... It's "Galzyr", not "Galyzr".
great video! been so curious about this one. visually looks fantastic. a little concerned about it being so on rails, and yet it isnt. More just a fun adventure game, to just have a good time. An advanced version of old school roll and move games. It seems like an expansion that really frees it from its system, could make this pretty amazing?
as a game it is an unending routine of skillchecks. So I consider it an adventure more than a game. It's targeted to young folk, not mature gamers, and is lots of unconnected plots just like in sleeping gods. 16:13 who in their right mind would use a pen in a book ?!?
