Hi Caroline, It was nice to know about Hackathon. Good, that apart from developers, other people are required, that quite interesting point to know.
2:26 when a programmer tells you "that it's not really about knowing how to code" == what they really mean is "you might not be as good as programmer as me but you should know some coding"

@@kabax yeah you can participate. They’re actually not that technical, mostly just creativity. It all depends on the judges you have. If the judges are knowledgeable in technology, then they will ask about the feasibility, but if they’re not you can just pitch them any bs that sounds like it would be possible. For the first hackathon our team got 2nd, we lost to someone pitching in fancy technical words a common anti virus, even though our idea was original and 100% feasible, we even got approached by a business owner asking us to contact him if we wanted to take on that idea, but we didn’t really care. In the 2nd hackathon the judges were very knowledgeable in the topic and in technology and programming, and they drilled everyone on their ideas about the specifics and the programming. The people who came first in the last one were destroyed by the judges in this one, every question they asked they couldn’t even answer and they ended up being told to go study more about what is possible before just pitching anything, when it came to us we were prepared. The one thing I liked about my group was that we weren’t yes mans, we really drilled eachother on ideas and only things that we know are true, what we could make.
What I would advice you is having 1 person that has knowledge in technology (specifically programming), 1 person that is good at speaking for presentation, 1 person that is good at editing, and 1 very creative person.

Hi Caroline, thank you for the video. I have never entered a haclathon before but I plan to enter in a few months cause I got an invitation which suits my interests. I have a few questions. I was able to select multiple files for myself like PM and designer and Security Expery. What happens when you have multiple roles? I couldn' t decide cause I am both technical but also a PM. I didn't have a team. I am registered alone. Will they assign me to a team? What is the size of a typical team? How do they monitor the team members? How do they measure the level of distribution for each? I am very excited. I like challenging things.

@@kevintheseacucumber4675 it went good! I produced an MVP using flask/python and was a great foundation for the project. Still building it out
