The blinking light usually indicates that the ink level is low. So, not sure if this is just that a miscommunication between the cartridge and the printer due to incorrect placement or the cartridge (not fully in its final position) or maybe the cartridge is not original and the signal rejected or not compatible with the printer.
@@khaledAlattab I solved the problem by installing the Brother Printer app and it indicated that I had a paper jam, and that was the cause of the light being on. I was able, with a lot of effort, to extract the jammed sheet of paper, and then found out that there is still toner in the old cartridge, so now I have a spare cartridge!

i've changed the cartridge but the orange light is still flashing on the front, so the printer won't work. Any tips?
