Today, I have something special, this is a long song and I put a lot of work into it, I hope you'll like it. Avantasia is the very ambitious project by mastermind Tobbias Sammet of Edguy. On each release, Tobbias recruits a great amount of guest musicians and vocalists to bring his songs come to life.
"The Metal Opera Pt.2" was released in 2002 and its a fact the whole album is not as good as part 1 but I can say "The Seven Angels" is easily one of Avantasia's best song if not the best. This mammoth of 14 minutes is epic as you can get. When you get onboard Michael Kiske, Oliver Hartmann, Andre Matos, Kai Hansen, Rob Rock and David Defeis on the same track, it sounds really good and the result is mindblowing.
Vocally speaking is just outstanding, all the vocal lines are memorable, the main chorus starting at 4:15 with all the singers is so powerful, its almost impossible not singing over it. The majestic ending is another huge part especially after the big build up following the peaceful mid-section. This song is all about having a great balance in a gigantic track. M. Sammet overdone himself with this one.
