I got this Moto for $299 from T-Mobile, plus I used a gift certificate for a total of $199 cost!! My 85 yr old mothers love its simplicity of use, easy to hold and light on her hands. and for its long lasting battery life, not to mention the fast charging. The camera is average but it does take bright, colorful, and sharp photos. For those like myself who are are more tech savvy, I much prefer the Oneplus 12! I got mine for $599!!!
I prefer the Edge Plus but oddly Motorola didn’t make one this year. My old one from 2022 still holds up with 144Hz refresh rate and software support. Camera is perfect too. Many thought I was using a Samsung or iPhone and shocked Motorola makes a flagship level phone.
@@snfrd I got mine from T-Mobile and it didn't have the Motorola bloatware! It had the tmo bloatware instead. I uninstalled and disabled all the tmo apps. The 299 price is definitely worth it!
It is objectively worse in every way than last year's flagship from Motorola. I guess we aren't gonna get it this year. The edge plus. Idk they have it in other markets but not USA for some reason. Same with a billion other phones, our choices are extremely limited.
@@bandrew8040 i have to compare it to last year's edge plus because this year there IS NO EDGE PLUS. and i got last year's edge plus (snapdragon 8 gen 2, 512GB storage, 8GB RAM, HDR10+ 144hz screen, killer phone) for THE SAME PRICE AS THIS ONE. i'm saying that about "idk who to blame..", what i'm referring to is the fact that in any other country you have a plethora of choices with the snapdragon 8 gen 3 in it, but in the USA, there's less than 5 choices. Literally, there's the s24, the oneplus 12, the asus zenfone 11 ultra. That's it. That's the only phones with the top-tier processor this year so far. That's pathetic. For the price, the only budget option is the oneplus 12. It's $799 and a much better buy than this $699 moto edge with a knock-down CPU and lower storage and NO IN-BOX CHARGER ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
I got confused in the beginning of the video. The specifications are very similar to the Edge 50 fusion. Also, we're getting the charger in the box but you're not. I guess Moto released the same phone with a slightly different name in the USA.

You'd be crazy to pay $550 for this phone with all the carrier deals. I ordered one a few days ago through Straight Talk with 3 months of service and got the phone for free. For that price it's well worth any compromises and much better than other $150 in that same price range.
@iamsotiredofliving OnePlus was the flagship killer before the 9 series. From the 9 to 11 series, oneplus released mediocre phones and charged them flagship prices. They are starting to come back to their roots slowly with the Oneplus 12 and 12r. Hopefully, Oneplus stays on track.
Just got it for 300.....it's gotten hot , stalled on tic TOC swipes , and I don't think the edge part is good for gaming .....but the screen view is GREAT and a few hand signals for it is pretty cool
Yeah same! Hopefully they will launch the plus edition. Also, if I'm not mistaken, as an owner of the 23 plus model, don't we get longer software support?

I actually got an Edge 2023 during Memorial Day deals (~$350), well aware that the 2024 was coming out. If you don't mind missing the quick button, having a slightly smaller battery and using Android 13 (to be updated soon) - save some money. The display and charging specs are the same (besides a bit more brightness) and is an all-round solid device. Just know that you'll see the usual hit on both devices in overall photo/video quality due to lower end hardware, no matter the settings, especially when posting to social media.

It's really confusing which phone they're talking about, and this phone is not good. All of the 2022 phones were worthless. The edge plus 2023 model was the good one. This one is again basically useless for the price. For $100 more you can get a much better phone. Last year, I got the edge plus 2023 for $699, it came with the 68w charger, a snapdragon 8 gen 2, 512gb storage, 8gb RAM, stock android, very similar to my pixel, so good of a phone, but only available basically at best buy and Amazon. That was their mistake. Otherwise you were getting 2022 version from carriers or elsewhere. Later (October 2023) once the edge 2023 launched it was also this version for the same price as the initial deals on the edge plus! Now, this year, they're 2 months late delivering their flagship, it's not as good as last year's, and it probably will be the only phone we get better than the new G phones. What a disaster. I will never be able to go back down to a snapdragon 7 after using snapdragon 8 phones. Just cannot do it. I mean the snapdragon 8 phones are already basically worse on every level processing wise than apple phones, I don't see why Android manufacturers keep trying to gimmick their way into users hands instead of just delivering a better phone for more money and reap the rewards of high sales. It seems like every time they actually do deliver a good phone it is hard to find and hard to buy, but whenever they mess up, all the carriers have them available. Samsung is literally the only option this year if you want a premium device. OnePlus 12 is there, but it only has 256gb storage for $799. I swear, the American market is fixed. Because globally, or in Europe and Asia there's probably 100 different phones with the best processors whether it's the exynos 2400 or snapdragon 8 gen 3, but in the USA it's either last year's phones, or literally 4 brands offering an overpriced device, most of them being hard to find. Or apple. Apple is great but also way too expensive.
I mean even IF you just want a Google or Samsung device, you still have to research what you're buying beforehand or else risk getting the feeling of getting ripped off because you accidentally got the a version or you didn't get the pro or ultra or plus model you thought you were getting. Every ad for these knocked down versions pretends it's the latest and greatest and none of them tell you "this is actually last year's phone" or "this isn't the best phone this company makes btw." And yet you're still paying $600-800 for a crappy phone. But every year there's one phone out there for $700 that just slays all other phones. Get that one. Last year it was the moto edge+ 2023. This year it appears it's the OnePlus 12 ($799 version, 512gb/16gb), or the Samsung Galaxy s24 plus $999. Get these on-sale and you'll be fine.
