For PVE: 3p Eclipse, 2p Çeská, 1p Yaal. With Haz Pro on 5 pieces, mods for fire, bleed, you’ll be immune to fire, bleed and shock, 90% hazpro from the others, and have 60% crit chance, 100% crit damage, and 30% smg damage. This was the template for a conflict build too that I really just took some armor off to make it pvp viable. The backpack is the perf galvanized, and the chest has trauma (mainly because electrique chest and back is hard to farm) but the talents and even spec is very interchangeable.

Total fan of the back fire spent heaps of time working with this great gun can’t wait to try my build now . I run bleed mods and glass cannon . Blood sucker which for pve is good 113% chd base is the best I’ve achieved with this setup but obviously a revisit is in order ❤

I started using the backfire on my hazpro build even before the buff. It was the first thing that occurred to me when I saw what it did. Now it's even better. Was consistently leading damage dealt in heroic missions despite having mid chc and chd stats.
Yeah me too. But mine is with Strikers gear set which is great for PVE but I get smoked on PVP. Though I also suck in general against other players because I just started playing the pvp portion of the game, and I’ve been playing the game since it came out 🤦🏻♂️

I’m running a similar build - 3 Yaahl, 2 Ceska, 2 Cavalier, 2 Sokolov (never thought to run Electrique). I’m 50% CHC, 151% CHD, 100% HazPro, 100% pulse resistant, Unbreakable on the chest, 1.6M armour…all possible thanks to the Ninja Backpack. I don’t do PvP (hate it), but it’s nice to be able to wander and farm the DZ with almost no interaction with players.
I took advantage of the maxed rolls bug earlier this year and got a bunch of max rolled bleed mods. That was a game changer for backfire because now I can achieve 100% bleed resistance and it frees up a gear slot
I may have to try this build out. Yesterday I got the Dark Winter drom a named cache in season pass, though! So, Indid what any other agent wanting that SMG would do and immediately terrified the wife aand dddog with excitement After a happy lap around the house I slapped hunters fury 4 piece with perfect spotter chest piece and bloodsucker backpack- and had the most fun I have ever had in game. Ever. Since launch. I may have to try with Backfire. Lol.
Pls dont try exactly his build, the damage would be higher if you use Hollow man mask from yaahl Gear for the free 14% amplifier and Uzina getika or Sokolov instead of Electrique with a ceska chest were you can use whatever talent you want. But the best option would be Hollow man mask, 3 Uzina Getika and 2 Ceska bc Cavalier and Ninja Bike bagpack really tank a lot of damage...
My pure pve backfire build. 4pc striker including bp. Coyote mask and two Ceska with chest/oblierate. Enough bleed resist and haz to get 100% bleed and 70% haz protect. Since PVE only I go with all reds. At the range with target set to Named and 15 meters at full stacks I hit for 1.3 mil crits without main directive on and for 1.75 mil a crit with main directive on. Backfire and Strikers work so well together since they are both stack based. Don't have to worry about anything other than landing my shots. Do that and the build takes care of the rest.
I run hazard/backfire often. 5.11 uzina, cysska can swap everything around. Hazard adds so much defense it's nice to extra on those brand sets. Big horn and rifle are next
I went two piece 511, two piece elec, one piece yahal with ninja. I’m super close to that 100 hazard. This is freaking fun to play with. Been trying to find something other than shield and receiver. Thank you
My findings that surprise me a little, The Carbine 7, Put on a Linked laser pointer with Flatline talent, then a 30% Accuracy Mod on the sights and a 30% stability on the Suppressor, and you are just a tiny bit from maxed out on Stability and Accuracy, It is a helmet breaker, the damage was buffed a little last update and a laser beam, Also the Dark winter, that 90% crit damage is always up just as it was before but you can burn some fools down. I do have them at 16 exp. but very sweet.

If they made the backfire work like the capacitor I would run it more. Every hazard roll increases damage by X amount and the crit damage stacks with each hit would make it a no doubt good weapon
I've always been too scared to run this, or especially picking the talent in Descent but I admittedly never stopped to consider using HP to offset the bleed. To be perfectly honest with these buffs this weapon is likely a perfect fit for either Hunter's Fury or Umbra
Yeah my Backfire Build is similar. Downside to mine is that I don't have as much weapon damage or armor. Which is a huge downside BUT. I do have 60% crit chance, 155.% crit damage and 13% Damage to Armor. Along with the 100% Hazard Protection. With Obliterate for the chestpiece talent and Perfect Adrenaline Rush for the backpack talent. Running 2 Piece Ceska, 2 pieces Walker, 1 Yaahl, and Contractors gloves.
I never use this gun, but with all of that built in hazpro on the build, it will be a nice counter to some of the npc modifiers. I’ll give it another try and see if it helps me out.
That setup is great for the Perfect Companion, but I prefer 1x Sokolov + 1x Walker, with Obliterate on Chest. Also, I use the Hollow Man, so I get the three multiplicative damages (DtH or DtA and DtTOoC).
I have a similar build 60 crit chans 330 crit damage, obliterate, 100% haspro, ran through a legendary and melted the enemy, I use it all the time. Oh managed to get the backfire up 65 rounds in the mag, a huge bonus.
Thank you, a little while ago I decided to get my watch to 1000 to see why that was important lol. Once I discovered how that opened up more options I started adjusting my guns and realized I could change status on my exotics. Now I just like trying different builds but I am still learning all the counters. I love using this gun and I would die more from the gun then the enemies lol. I haven't used it recently but it worked well. I never knew how hazard worked so now I have to go down that rabbit hole. Can your recommend a good guide that is not a spoiler but gives counters to different things in the game such as what you have show here. I think I don't understand some of the nuance which is why I may not build things as well. I run around in open world but I do look for max builds to get an idea of what is out there. I like bleed but with a mix of close to ranged options. I have ventured into the dark zone but I am cautious since the first time I went there it was with a group who. I want to build up to go in but I really want to get the Eagle at some point and some of the other exotics that may only come from there. Anyway, thanks for the content and I will check this one out since I carry it around. I really wish they just let us get into our inventory in the open world so we can play around more. I carry builds on me but I would rather keep the main thing on me and swap out like Ghost Recon as I want. That is just my 2 cents.

Okay so Ceska with oblit with all reds, Hunters fury red core with all hazpro, one piece cavalier with a red core and hazpro, run firewall shield and have fun. Hit for 3,000,000 crit consistently
Great build for pve that shreds. I was thinking of trying a haz pro build of some sort to mitigate that seasonal modifier that add shock & burn to hostile. This makes you burn immune if you cap haz pro which with your set up is easy. Thanks 👍

@ i have been farming eletrique gear set for over 3 months now in the summit (simply bcuz its never featured in the general loot map EVER! Lol ) to try and get at least 2 pieces to drop with crit chance and crit damage and have yet to get it to drop..pretty frustrating! If only i had blue prints i could try my chances at crafting some. I can not deconstruct items in my inventory marked as junk. I CAN still deconstruct an item that needs to be picked up though. Also, I can't zoom via R3 (stick depression) on any scope that has an X by it, Example: X 3.4. Aside from the X 8 (because it aut0 zooms when Looking down sights. I used to able to do these things @RougeGold who, and where can I notify the devs about these issues?

I have weapon handling on my henri, then I got new henri with crit damage. When I try it on training target, the weapon handling one does more damage. Is it only just a bug?
@RogueGold Both are blue core. Skill Haste + Crit damage and Weapon Handling + Health. And apparently it's just a bug, now I get higher damage with Crit Damage one.
It's in the General Loot Pool, meaning it can drop from anywhere, but your best chances will come from Targeted Backpack content 👍 Best recommendation is to play Countdown with backpacks targeted, and spend the tokens earned on Exotic Caches 👍

I like these videos, but idk how the DZ works for you like that. I go into the DZ and just get insta melted by anyone even with 1.5 million plus on armor
Still cant use ARs on interesting builds because of the crit chance limitation. Need better chance mods. Putting chc on SMGS is one of the dumbest things they did with this game and they still don't see it.
Could now really try a pvp build with ravenous: 4 piece system corruption Memento backpack Rifle damage chest, talent is your choice but I personally ran intimidate All crit, my minimum crit chance is 45% so that I could still opt on crit damage Spec I use is technician, but now that rifles are auto it might be better to use sharpshooter I personally run 6 blues, but 5 can still be tanky and effective

with centurion swap for second weapon you don't need to reload at all. Just swap it and your backfire will be reloaded. With extra ammo.

Nice build and this weapon needed a buff. But umbra+capacitor build does more damage having larger mag and faster fire rate.

I run this gun with 2 Cavalier 4 Striker (body + backpack), all roll to hazard protection, works extremely good, manage to get 58% crit chance.

Yaahl gear is DZ exclusive. Sometimes you'll find it being sold at the Clan or DZ vendors

Health Damage isn't very useful in PVP, but on a PVE variation yeah that could definitely be worth using!

I like these videos, but idk how the DZ works for you like that. I go into the DZ and just get insta melted by anyone even with 1.5 million plus on armor
Still cant use ARs on interesting builds because of the crit chance limitation. Need better chance mods. Putting chc on SMGS is one of the dumbest things they did with this game and they still don't see it.
If you're using Modifiers, try rocking the "Retribution" passive one!

Rifle damage chest, talent is your choice but I personally ran intimidate
All crit, my minimum crit chance is 45% so that I could still opt on crit damage
Spec I use is technician, but now that rifles are auto it might be better to use sharpshooter
I personally run 6 blues, but 5 can still be tanky and effective
