Fun fact : The arrows is actually in the Witness Randomizer Expert Mode. Expert Randomizer shift Triangles into a "common" symbol and replaces all of those panels with the Arrows for the "secret" puzzles. so if you've already done Expert Randomizer, the starting area is actually not that bad
Knowing me who got to the challenge with walkthroughs and understanding basic knowledge of the puzzles, I somehow understood the mushrooms and hats. Nothing else but I still enjoyed this video. The number of hell things made no sense, neither did the arrows, downward triangles clock hands etc. but i was still interested and watched the whole thing. Keep it up!
Not gonna lie my head doesn’t agree with the witness but just shows how good your videos are that I got all the way through a witness video hahaha. The drawing program trick you use is clever and super helpful also!
The arrows remind me of one of the late game puzzles, which was somewhat like a maze, and was incredibly confusing, similar to the puzzles with the pillars before the elevator at the end of the game. I imagine they start off with that, as it's more or less a continuation of some of the most difficult puzzles from the base game.
Right from the get-go, I'm struggling so much with the colours - the bright purple on the dark grey is just not very visible for me :( thanks for the visual indications, they help a lot!

sometimes - i usually try to keep evidence of failed attempts unless it's boring, and imo it's very bad for engagement to have a long failure in the intro

I'm confused. I want to play the mod, but the mod you link says it's a random puzzle generator, not a new map. And in the description you specifically say not to choose despair... despite that being the mod? Could you clarify?
It's not a new map. when you load it, it gives you an option of two modes, but the "despair" mode is more in line with expert randomizer and doesn't really replace stuff with new symbols (at least, not that I saw). I named it Despair anyway because that's the cooler name.
No. Witness Randomizer does not affect the game files in ANY way, due to how the Witness stores panels data exclusively in RAM while running. it instead just taps into those data in RAM and changes those. You would have not made this mistake had you take one minute to read up how it works.

You should color the squares themselves when dealing with the digit clues.
The mushrooms act as omnidirectional arrows. They must see the line in every direction. What you said is a rephrase of the intended rule.

For the "Down Arrows", aka "Antitriangles", each triangle represents one corner. So 3 antitriangles needs to have 3 turns.
