Ugh Asian carp - agree they're immensely invasive & destroying so much. Would rather see something eaten than culled & wasted. Thank you for the honest review!

Rambo, has had glitches and some difficulties. He will start moving down at his own pace, that was his what he said at the beginning. He has a 75-year-old boat basically from World War II.Most people would be terrified I know I would. Give the guy a break. He will do it

Time to get you ass on the river. It looks like the weather is ok. Stop saying you are on the river... you are not... you are camping at a bar! I subscribed to your channel to see a fellow "on the river". As I recall, on your 15th day Vlog you said "Weather permitting, I am getting on the river". This is 17th day Vlog... still camping at the bar...

He's very unprepared and to be honest clueless about big rivers. Hope he makes it, but his planning was basically non-existent.

Even with the best planning & prep personal human age & health, other boats or accidents not caused by self, age & condition of boat, and of course weather... plenty of fubar opportunities lol. I don't think a motor going was part of the loosely laid plans even. Sometimes the only way to truly learn is by being in the midst of something.

I dunno, me personally wouldn't waste precious time on a channel with negative nonconstructive commentary. I also wouldn't be able to easily physically accomplish 17 days even on/camped by a river due to being 'disabled'. I am going to support someone having a go at their lifelong dream just as i would hope someone could/would support mine regardless how "successful" the progress or outcome, how much I could contribute even if only an encouraging word or help brainstorming in ways to keep it going, or how plentiful/top notch resources are/were as I collected everything & got started and kept going. Not many can say they're truly "living the dream" or even tried theirs with all they were capable of in any circumstances. Jmho Better to "camp" reorganize & strategize till more confident/conditions improve then to be out in the thick of it stuck, sinking or harmed/harming others... good food & easily accessible help in emergencies is just where to pause as a learning curve adjusts.

@@anna7473 right on! Great speech! Doesn't mean he's still not woefully unprepared and risking his life as well as the lives of rescue crews if they need to rescue him (again)

@@commiecrusher Not active on any social media currently so not sure what all the prep was/wasn't. Making connections at the docks, restaurants, with locals to areas, and adapting from safe points is priceless. Been on the Mississippi though & that mighty river sure is one to respect(Great Lakes are another). Fear can be healthy when it's not paralyzing - experienced both kinds lol. Got my a$$ kicked & then some first road trip exploring I ever went on my own w my dog and that was even with being well supplied by decent enough standards, mechanically inclined, and checklists, preps, tools & maps etc lol. As well as seeming a voice of experience, Best to you always in work & travels and God Bless.
