Oh, I wish there was a McDonald's with all the items from 20 years ago in Germany. They had such a great selection of "grown up" food and I still remember the taste!

Hoping not much, but they can lose money on this whilst they manage to get a foothold, so it will probably last for a long time, at least until sugar and sweeteners are banned

This feels like something that would’ve been made in the 90s, resulted in the company losing hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, and only gets brought up in TH-cam Mini Documentaries about the dumbest corporate ideas ever.
Good gracious, I’ve never seen a drive-thru line that long before. Unless the place was giving away free money, no way would I wait in that.
I'm not sure if I should pretend to be surprised or disappointed in humanity that they are over clogging the road to get into a new type of McDonald's.

Found the youtube channel, clicked on a Brad Tries because gosh I loved that show, and like a minute in... "We have a baby at home."
I know I acknowledged it has been like ten years since I last watched, but GOSH I have never been so acutely aware of the passage of time hahaha. That being said, congrats Brad! Now to catch up on a decade of Snob and Brad Tries episodes to get back to this point. 😅

The strategy is trying to open a store with only the biggest mark-up items they can make and hide behind hype and cute marketing.

I’ve eaten McDonald’s maybe 10 times the last 4 years because of the wait time in drive thru. I can’t imagine combining it with hipster drinks is gonna make it quicker

I got you, dude! At Wal-Mart they sell Southwest Hot Mustard. It's the McDonalds version with a smidge more heat. Since I moved to IL from VA I've had to use that as my sauce of choice. And I just moved to Rockford away from that insanity. Have fun with it, lol

Man, that's such a good fuckin idea to start up these spin-off locations that focus on certain things - like, they should open some locations where the only things being served are all of the discontinued food items that people always ask about. Or some locations that are more similar to a fancy steakhouse with steak sandwiches and steakburgers, and different kinds of potatoes (whole potatoes, mashed potatoes, maybe some curly fries....), and whatever other sides you might get at a steakhouse. The possibilities are endless, especially for a company as big as McDonald's that can afford to fuck around and experiment a bit. I think the only major issue would be sourcing these new food and drink items - since some of them are totally new, it's probably relatively expensive to diversify like that (but what do I know? Maybe it's not), so you'd want it to be extra successful to justify the costs.
I think this is gonna be super successful - though it also depends on the actual quality of the food and drinks. Luckily I'm not too far from that location, so I'm going there as soon as I get the chance.

You know why this idiotic idea didn’t premiere in California? Because the employees make just south of $1000.00 an hour just to survive in this hellhole, McDonald’s wouldn’t turn a profit on opening day.
