TY for part 2. I got a MAX-04 last summer from Japan and watched and was set up to do Jan Betas video on a 1 wire composite mod. Right before I did it, Robbin from 8 bit show and tell had a video come out on the MAX-04. In his video he told me that the Japanese NTSC channel 1 & 2 or the same as my U.S. NTSC channels 95 & 96. I still had a 13 CRT TV put away and sure enough when I hooked it up to the TV it worked on channel 95. My TV only goes up to 95 so I was very lucky. Also, the TV is sliver and matches the MAX-04s case like they were made to go together. I took the MAX-04 and TV with me to World of Commodore 2022 in Mississuga Canada Dec 3rd & 4th and had it on a display table showing it to the attendees.
Great work. I would install a 100uF cap in series with the composite video line, most of the consoles or computers of the era have a DC offset on top of the video signal, which some modern displays may not be happy with. Just a cap will block (filter out) that offset completely.
Nice - just managed save one of these from being scrapped - will do this mod now as its prettly unusable video right now - but will be sure to make it reversable in case someone wants the "authentic" experience in the future.
Nice work, I have a stack of old pong clones with awful RF, might give it a go. Maybe just me, but the movement of the ball on the two Commodore pong clones seemed a bit jerky, compared with GI chip versions or pure analogue chip sets like in the original arcade.

Nice work! The difference in video quality is shocking. Definitely worth the time.
Thanks Golan!

I was not aware. Thank you!
Great video Dave! I have a Sears Telegames Pong that I need to mod like this.
Thanks for the kind words, Dan! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.

Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
