Good job on the video. I have a 2015. Kymco 50. And that's all I do. It ask for nothing. But engine and gear oil change at the end of the season. That is it. 👍.

I gotten the high performance Naraku cdi and it gave it a huge boost of power then upgraded the transmission with the same company with 5.5 gram rollers got more power don't lose power going up hill. Removing the spacer in the exhaust pipe gave it better air flow added to the top speed can now go 50 mph 40 to 45 up hill. Thought I would give you an update now that I've done it and tested it out for a week before letting you know.
there is an oil drain plug on the left side. if you drain it only by the plug on bottom that has the oil filter, a lot of of oil will remain in the engine
Off topic but you respond back and seem to know your stuff here.. I am a 2019 kymco agility 50 it's going 30mph. Just ordered a naraku performance cdi box to easy district the scooter then going to order the Naraku variator kit will I need to use different oil and gear oil after that? Also how much will this improve my scooter? Thanks bud for this video
You will not need to use different oil or gear oil. Just simply changing out the stock variator drive boss to the unrestricted drive boss will bring you up to 38-40 mph and it only cost $15 or less. The performance cdi is supposed to bring the rpm up from 7000 to 9000 which would increase speed too, but I have not had any luck with those. I never noticed any difference by trying different cdi's, but maybe you will have better luck.
So you have a oil filter on one side a sump plug on the other side which is lower to let more out that you did not do have a look you will see it a lot of folks do not know of it.
Is there a was to check the gear oil? My Kymco 150 is leaking a small amount every day. It’s new so I am wondering if it was overfilled at the factory. They leak appears to be coming from above the drain plug and the fill.
It shouldn't be leaking straight from the factory. I would check to see if the two bolts are tightened that you use to fill and drain the gear oil. It may be possible that one of them was stripped at the factory causing it to leak out.
@@Subariblet thanks for the reply. The leak seems to be above the drain and fill plugs but this morning my ABS light came on and stays on and also the speedometer and odometer stopped working. So. I I’m wondering if it’s low on brake fluid. Anyway it’s too new to be having these problems I’d say.
Does all these 3 oils have almost same viscosities and can be interchangeable as a gear oil in transmission of 110cc gearless scooters. SAE 10W30 engine oil , API GL-4 SAE 80W-90 gear oil and GL-4 SAE 90 grade gear oil.
Sidg2 No, the viscosities are different. Gear oil also has sulphur additives for pressure hence they smell, like rotten eggs. You can use engine oil but for transmissions use a 75w90 or 80w90 gear oil. Its also overkill to change gear oil with engine oil.
There is no filter on it like a car. What it has is that filter screen that you clean out when you remove the bolt to drain the oil. Once the screen is clear of any debris you since put it back in
Hey, nice video. I have the same scooter but its from 2006. And the screw in 0:45 has stuck on my scooter. I tried everything but it just doesnt move. Have u any tips for me?
hey not sure if you have done this yet but get you a 18 to 20 inch long half inch drive ratchet or get a breaker. best way to maximize your torque efficiency. DO NOT get the duralast with the floppy head.
I wouldn't. Technically, you could probably still use it, but these motors are designed to run on standard 10W40. I just know I would not be comfortable using this in my scooter. I would be afraid that this thinner synthetic would mess something up.
Manual says 2000km. I tend to follow that to make sure. I think 4000km is risky, especially when you see how dirty the oil already is after 2000km, but I suppose it depends where you live. I'm in hilly countryside so the motor has to work hard from time to time.
YoungTooShort , mine from 2014, still okay after 20.000, ofcourse every 4000 km to the scootercorner shop for an oil change and checkup, already a few new tires, a new exhaustpipe and little things,. but alway s shiny and clean due polish the bike , even after bad weather straight a clean up, yes, a bit obsessive autistic, lol.

Just acquired a kymco 125! This is great!
That's awesome. I think someday I will also get a 125, but for now, the 50 works great for me and still runs like brand new.

Hello.
How much gear oil did you end up adding or did you just fill till it was running out the check bolt hole.
Cheers
It uses very little gear oil, something like .1 LT. You simply just fill it up until it starts running out the bolt hole.
@@Subariblet Hello,
I good understood correctly?
Motor Oil ~ 700-800 mililitr
Gear Oil ~ 1 litr?
Thank you

Nice!
What are the differences for the 125 version?
I read somewhere kymco uses the gy6 engine. Is it true? If yes, is it in the agility model?
Yes. Agility is gy6

SAE 10W30 engine oil ,

I don't know but it seems like I've heard something like this before. However, once you get past 100cc, I believe you need a different viscosity.

That is not the oil drain plug. Thats the oil filter. The drain is on the otherside. Important becuse you not drained all of the oil.
Where is the drain plug?? I can’t find it :( if you can send a picture of it my email istherealjoshuabowers@gmail.com
I don't think it's a big deal to change it from the location that I did. That way, you can clean out the filter as well if necessary.
I’m pretty sure all the oil is drained
I agree with you. I always drain on the drain plug first, then clean the filter.
Gear oil left or right ?
Thanks for the video❤
Brilliant. Many Thanks :)
I’m glad you found it helpful
What size drive belt would I need for a 2015 kemco 50 cc agility 4stroke

Do you always have to change both at the same time?
No. The gear oil lasts much longer.
