In today's video we are continuing working in Maries bedroom, primarily focusing on finishing up the plaster walls! These walls were definitely a bit labor intensive but I have to say the results are stunning. I've always wanted to work with a wall finish like this, and it's the perfect backdrop for the rest of the room.

I have no problem with incremental makeover videos-that’s real life-because it gives you the chance to feature each element and process instead of packing a shortened version of them in one video.
Do both. When you do someone else's place, you can do a single vid. " Variety is spice of life" After all.

Hi Drew, I totally get it. It's hard to have solid content EVERY WEEK. Personally, I enjoy the process videos you post :-) You make the idea of continually updating your home real for those of us who watch you. I recently completed a room remodel where we applied plaster and it took Nicole 4 days!!! It's an ART!

I'm surprised people think a start to finish would be better, it's great seeing the different stages in detail and doing your own place the way you want obviously takes far longer than the rental friendly jobs.

The fact that you are taking the time to actually plaster the room, which is period current for your home is amazing and so much work. Im not really a fan of brown tones but once the bed and the rug were in and can’t wait to see more. Im sad you took the crystals off the chandelier but I know that’s not your style. Looking forward to seeing the end results.
Don't rush the process just to get everything in one video. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and I'm loving all of your renovation videos!
It annoys me so much that people are critical of your process! Have they never done any diy? I’m amazed at how quickly you are able to accomplish these makeovers even when you split them up. I remodeled my house from one end to the other one year and it took me most of that year without an major structural changes! patience, people, geez!

I literally said, "Noooooooo!", out loud when you said you were taking the crystals off of the chandelier but it looks stunning even without. I love the color of the walls! I actually painted my bedroom a very similar color a few years ago and it's amazing how energizing it is in the morning light and how calming and moody it is in the evening! The perfect bedroom color! I can't wait to see it styled and finished!

Drew, I appreciate the fact that you haven't forgotten that you're a "content" creator 👏🏽 Some that I've followed have started to produce videos that include mostly their day-to-day lives...eating, cleaning their homes, talking while putting on make-up; without any REAL substance, or projects, anymore. I just wanted to mention that I am really proud of you for doing so much of your own work. I've noticed that a lot of the other DIY folk stand around and talk a lot and then amazingly the room is done LOL. Watching you mop that floor just brought it home.
That suede is one of my personal go to colors. My living room is a warm cream, with different tones of that suede. Warm lighting and dark woods adds such a moody ambience. Such a warm ,cozy feeling.
I would’ve never thought to take all the crystals off the chandelier. It just changed the whole fixture! Gorgeous! You’re so talented Drew!!!🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can’t believe how much nicer the chandelier is without all the embellishments. I did this wall treatment in a previous home and loved it but boy was it work. 🥵 Fully worth it.

Another benefit of taking your time and spreading out the design videos, is I can really sit with the design decisions you make. It is not overload for my brain and I can think about how I would implement and adapt certain things for my space and design style. I vote no rush! But sporadic mini makeovers are fun too 😊

I like the shorter segmented videos. It showcases the harder processes of the projects and builds my excitement for the next video in the series. The start to finish vids are great too, but I hope you can keep doing the style vids you have been. I'm absolutely loving the color of Marie's room. I'm so excited to see part 3.

It was extraordinary with the crystals and looked extremely expensive. Not so much without them. It is a woman's bedroom and it should have that feminine style. Maybe after awhile with the crystals, they could have been removed, but I would have been bummed if it was my room.😢

Oh my goodness this room is giving me GOOSEBUMPS it's looking SO beautiful. For any other channel when they do multiple videos for one space it bugs me just because it seems almost unnecessary although I'm still going to watch it lol. But with yours I actually love it because this is LEGIT ART. Like the time, thought, uniqueness, creativity, and just work that goes in proves why it needs more than one episode.i mean this house is just breathtaking! A deep makeover should be broadcasted in parts of course. This way the videos are not too long and overwhelming.

Actually I love the incremental videos. It allows you to focus on the process and your thinking. It allows us to see your creative work in detail. Cannot wait for Part 3.

Love the preliminary quasi-masculine/gender neutral, dark academia vibe of the room so far & that chandelier is perfection sans crystals! Gone is the French chateau vibe… and in waltzes the 1920s-30s Art Deco aesthetic. I love the color of the ceiling… It’s the perfect pairing with Marmorino Palladino ‘Warm Suede’ on the walls. Those window shades are elegant & I the texture is awesome, imo! I cannot wait to see what’s next! See you all Sunday!

Omg I love the Meoded plaster and the COLOR so much. I’m dying for my room to look like that. Also I love the in depth step by step vlog style especially if it means more frequent uploads. You can just make a playlist for an entire rooms make over start to finish that we can watch

I like this method of the videos being episodes instead of marathon videos. I know people like to watch creators for hours on end, but 30 minutes is about all I can give.
I love your videos the way your videos have evolved since you bought your home. I feel like each video gives you a really good more in depth perspective of the room makeover process. I feel that if I were to tackle any of these projects at my home I would have a better understanding of the process. All good things come with time. I like the vlog style for the makeovers. It's realistic. Otherwise, we'd be watching a bunch of sped up action clips, cramming weeks of makeover activity into 30 minutes. I also love the rental friendly makeovers you've done recently, and hope to see more of those in the future.
Marie’s bedroom walls are taking on the feel of the roaring 1920s to 1940s era. Very cool. Definitely a very old school, classy, rich aesthetic, and it looks like leather. Also, very in-tune with the feel of your home, and of its potential original design and decor.
I’m concerned that the room is starting to come across more of a masculine feel, than a feminine feel.

Love the painting plaster finish, very Leather isk Vibe which I'm a Suede @ Leather for Eons . Fur , Linen, & Cheetah are great ideas for adult Women's Space 💝
Love the ceiling color with Headboard as it's a Great 👍 choice & of course the bed but still waiting for the final aesthetic >>> However wast 😢 sad to see the hanging Crystal go😢; Is there another place it could be featured in this room makeover LiKe on a sconce & What about putting a Canopy around that Bed ; as it's Another layer of pazzas added into a Woman's Feminine Zone...😮

I love seeing multiple parts to a room make-over. It means we get to see more of the process in each one, and the final results are always amazing. If people want to see the full transformation in one sitting, then all they need to do is wait until all the videos ared uploaded and watch them all in one go.

I bet Marie is thrilled to have this bedroom! Just a tip to preserve your wood floors, always vacuum and remove as much dust as humanly possible before mopping. When you get that dust wet you're just creating mud and it will leave a haze on the floor.
