Decided to up my Sudoku game and try to learn the strategy you utilize that will help me solve the harder puzzles. This thorough walk thru was pretty helpful, especially learning about breaking the puzzle into stacks and bands. But I did get lost at times because I'm play on my phone using the NYT app so it only has cornermarks (candidate), no center marks. There is also no color difference between the numbers I place and the numbers ready in place (No scanning the blues). There's also no red and no way to select squares, like what you demonstrate how a number is looking up, down, or into. I think that's one way I got lost is because I was having to visually look vs what you quickly did by selecting all the squares.
All that to say some of us don't have the same functionality that your super thorough instructions are utilizing.
But the time you spent explaining the strategy was super helpful! Always appreciated. 🫶🏼
You can solve using SudokuPad using the link I provide. The link is predictable and always available as soon as the puzzle is released.

I've been playing NYT sudoku for about 7 months now and have really been wanting to improve my solve time and learn new strategies for when Snyder notation leaves me stuck on what to do next.
