This map has been such an epic project. Everyone did such an amazing job with their parts.
I always loved Mapleshade and i really feel like this MAP showes her in such a great way. And at least for me all the wait was totally worth it. the endresolut is just fantastic. Thanks everyone for participating in this MAP and showing their patience with it.
So now its only bluestar that needs to be finished too ;DD

Mapleshade’s story is so amazing and unique, currently she is my favorite villain, and this MAP shows her story PERFECTLY everyone did such an amazing job!
I find Sol more unique not gonna lie but she is the most successful of the villains in the series
Ngl I kinda prefer starlight from my little pony as a villain but that’s only because I absolutely love how she’s a but slower to be redeemed, and still has lot’s of negative qualities because of her evil past
Maple shade is probably my favorite non-redemption villains though, since she has such good reasons to be evil

I really like the scene at 3:05 where Mapleshade's smiling as the two warriors fight. Not only is it well-timed to the music you can really get a sense of the madness of Mapleshade.
I would love to read about what her kits think about her behaviour after their deaths -- whether or not they agree with her murders and mayhem or not. It'd be a great read to have them interact. I'd also love to read ThunderClan's reactions to hearing about Ravenwing's death, and who told them. I'd assume it'd be one of the medicine cats who found him dead at the Moonstone on the return-trip.
I'm late but yeah. That would be quite interesting although I'm pretty sure we can guarantee that the kits would be horrified and traumatized by her actions. Little children don't want people to kill lol. Especially since while Frecklewish kinda disowned them for a bit before feeling remorse and Appledusk cheated, they still had bonds with those cats so they wouldn't want em dead. I reckon Cloudberry prolly found Ravenwing seeing as she was the cat who replaced Ravenwing after a while.

There is cats that experienced worse things, Crookedstar lost his whole family, Mothwing had an abusive brother who did horrible things to her, Bluestar... well, her whole life was a mess, Crowfeather lost two of the cats he loved and had a son and a mate who thought he hated them. These may not sound worse, but i kinda think they are

Revenge is never an okay thing. Especially when it involves murder and bloodshed.

ANIMATING TIP!
Space out your frames by 1 and then make the frames inbetween, for example, 1 and 3.
You basically do FRAME 1 and FRAME 3 but then you keep animating, leaving one space inbetween. After that, animate by using onion skins and put inbetween the frames you see.

Tbh, Mapleshade is one of my favorite- if not my all time favorite character. She’s so evilly an amazing character. I love the part at 3:01 because it shows how she is happily watching cats tear each other apart lol and it shows her evilness

Even though I'm falling out of the fandom, this video always brings me back in. Thank you so much for making this map, it was one of the first warrior cat videos i watched(probably the second). All I can say is thank you so much to all of those who participated in this map for putting in you're time and effort to satisfy us. Poor Mapleshade, I know she's evil but I do feel bad that she lost her kits. I feel like all the betrayal brought out a side that she repressed, being a violent spiteful cat who doesn't feel bad for killing. I think what happened brought that part out but it was always there deep down.

i have a smol theory.
The kits that were lost in the river, since reincarnation IS a thing in Warriors, were reborn as cats that joined the DF. Brokenstar, Tigerstar, and Ivypool,. They followed in their mother's footsteps and were reunited.

As When she got her exile from ThunderClan the only Place she decided to go was RiverClan like She is that stupid that where she broke the code and mated with appleDusk from Rc She went there asking like help from RiverClan Ofcourse , RC would have found out about AppleDusk why the heck would they let MapleShade Stay their, Couldent she have gone to ShadowClan or WindClan well maybe not ShadowClan as they have to cross the Thunderpath But seriously And then taking her kits and crossing the river When theres a Storm Couldent she have gone into some cave Like that was just stupidity And then to get her revenge was fine but why the hell the did have to kill cats in the dark forest. Her story is messed up and sometimes its just stupid.

I will defend Mapleshade to the bitter end because she is my favorite cat.
She deserved a mate who loved her. She had to watch her children die, unable to help them.
All of the cats she killed were a holes who got exactly what they deserved.
Honestly tho, Oakstar literally doomed the clans. Think about it:
Oakstar kicked Mapleshade out so her kits died causing her to go psycho
Mapleshade went to the dark forest
Mapleshade trained Tigerstar and partly Thistleclaw
Tigerstar trained Hawkfrost
Hawkfrost deceived Mudclaw
If all of these events had not happened, think about the cats who would still be alive. All of the characters who didn't have to suffer tortuous deaths, Yes, including Tigerstars ghost death. And Spottedleaf as well.
Oakstar doomed the clans because he couldn't see the fact that Appledusk being the father shouldnt matter over the well being of kits and their mother.

WAIT- I'M JUST NOW REALIZING HOW SIMILAR FIRESTAR'S DESIGN LOOKS TO APPLEDUSK... IT SORT OF REPRESENTS HOW MAPLESHADE SAW HIM AS APPLEDUSK AND THAT'S WHY SHE WANTED TO KILL HIM SO BADLY! OMG- I could be so wrong about this but I just thought it was a good inference since this is all Mapleshade's perspective
I haven’t watched this MAP in a long time, and I’m just now realizing how (almost) perfectly it follows the storyline. Most of the MAPs don’t.
I also love how everyone makes it Mapleshade’s idea to attack the Clans. It’s perfect!
(The reason I said, “almost” is because of Appledusk’s death. Everyone gets it wrong. Mapleshade captured Perchpaw, and dragged him out of the bushes to confront Appledusk and Reedshine. She dropped him and tried to attack Reedshine to end their lineage, but Appledusk got in the way. After that Perchpaw came out of his hiding and attacked Mapleshade from behind, because she was already sick and weak.)

I think Mapleshades Vengeance is meant to speak to the darkest parts of ourselves. It's a story that encourages you to revel in the bloodlust and the murder. Mapleshade keeps asking for more and more death, and the authors want the reader to as well. The purpose is to make it to where the reader can no longer distinguish their desires from Mapleshade's, and I think it is done brilliantly. Coming out of the story you aren't supposed to look in the mirror and justify what happened. Mapleshade was lost in her madness and grief and the reader is supposed to as well while reading. In the end the line between what is right and what is wrong is so very very hard to see.
This is MAP showed me Mapleshade for the first time, she is my favorite cat, great job guys!!
Mapleshade is probably now my favorite dark forest warrior, but I will not deny she isn’t the smartest cat…

Maple Shade was a Thunder clan cat who loved a river clan cat. After she had her litter she was banned from thunder clan and tried to cross the river clan river. Her kits ended up drowning on her way across. And her mate had cheated on her and gone against her. River clan also went against her. So she had no choice but to be a loner. Filled with anger and wanting revenge she started to kill. Shes also a bad guy in the warriors series. I hope this helps you understand MapleShades backstory...
