I'm coming very late to Carl Froch as a fighter and never saw him fight before his career ended but I can tell this man is just a class act and an amazing athlete. I've watched both fights on TH-cam vs George Groves and was especially impressed with his very last fight. Truth be told , he literally conquered George Groves mentally and physically in both fights. And for all the talk about a bad call by the referee in the first fight, I say BS...the referee actually helped Groves' career by ending the fight when he did...it was a good call because Carl hit him with a very short devastating left hand which isn't so easy to see.. The referee's primary responsibility is to protect the fighters and he essentially protected George Groves in this fight. Carl's willingness to offer a rematch also speaks to his character as a man. No one can sincerely take away Carl Froch's accomplishments in the ring from him. CHEERS FROM CANADA!!!

Froch for me personally the best English/British fighter of the modern era. I know Calzaghe was phenomenal and undefeated. Lennox, Naz, Hatton, Eubank Snr, the list can go on. Froch would fight anyone and every fight was entertaining. The man was like a fuckin Spartan warrior and would just walk through people. Honest man, says it as he sees it, and always stays humble and loyal. Don’t hear many fighters give their coach the credit Froch gives Robert McCracken. Stayed with him right through his career too. Take a bow Froch lad 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I understand why Carl is not everyone's cup of tea as is arrogant and contradicts himself. He did not like Groves goading him but he did the same to Calzaghe.
As a fighter technically not the best, however he is as tough as they come. Has a granite chin, great stamina, fought decent opposition and avoided no one. I could not see anybody stopping him in a fight not even GGG. One of the best Super middle weight fighters the UK had. A shame he was not the Benn, Eubank, Watson era I think he would of held his own.

super-middleweight to come along cause Calzaghe bored me, that guy had no flair & really never took risks, his only outstanding fight was
left-hook Lacey which didn’t come close to some of Carl’ barn stormers. Carl “the 🐍” Froch was a fn’ warrior like Nigel Benn& I don’t give a crap if nobody agrees cause I know I’m 💯% correct & I reckon Carl would back me up on that 😎😎😎😎

jermain taylor was a shot fighter when he boxed froch?????are u deluded??, he had only lost twice before he lost to froch that was against kelly pavlik, yes he was beating froch on points but the distance is 12 rnds, and the championship rnds are the last 2, in the 12th he got bulbed and sparkled that my friend is what warriors are made of look at chavez vs taylor, as roger mayweather said, you dont know shit about boxing.

He's got bags of stamina, and a great punch that lasts all day long.

@Mr Zeus I agree ward schooled froch. But haters on here who are slaging froch are probably key board warriors who have never boxed in there lives. And seem insecure and jealous of froches achievements.

I really want to like Carl, I really do, he's an absolute warrior and he fights at my favourite weight, I've always followed super middleweight division religiously but Jesus Christ he talks some shit and if he mentions 80,000 at Wembley one more time.... I wonder if it comes from some insecurities? If he was such a nervous amateur then it might be, I hope so because I would want to think he's a better bloke than he comes across as sometimes.

Carl might have beat him in the ring twice, BUT... Groves won the mental battle. He’s still in his head to this day, even after knocking him out, Carl still thinks about him every night. I’d say Groves is the winner there..

Ok i like Froch a lot, but no way was this the biggest british boxing fight post war. Eubank vs benn was on another level, bruno vs lewis was bigger too.
