I thought that moment was absolutely beautiful but I do want to correct this slightly because he actually has a non verbal learning disability which I just researched and learned that “Non-verbal" in this case is not the same as "non-speaking”

My grandfather was a social studies teacher. He was an fdr democrat. My dad told me that when Nixon won he got so mad he kicked a tv. My grandfather told him to calm down, the political pendulum always swings. My dad told me this story the night trump won. I was upset he was upset. Ps: his son Gus getting emotional during certain points reminds me of my grandfathers oldest great grandchild. She wanted to be a social studies teacher but she decided not to because she had such a fear of gun violence in schools. My grandfather taught us all how to shoot, he was a hunter, but he knew that gun rights doesn’t equal gun violence. He is the reincarnation of all the best dads & grandpa’s.

He has a "nonverbal learning disability," meaning the disability is in an area that is *not* related to speaking (math, spatial awareness, receptive auditory processing, etc). He is not nonverbal, although it's easy to see where the confusion comes from given the similar terminology for the two conditions.

Even as a forever Republican, I was so impressed with Mr. Walz' speech. Wow! I found myself wishing "he" was running for President. What a fresh, wholesome, authentic, person. He seems so genuine and appears to be a great speaker and motivator. It was one of the best political speeches I've ever watched. His energy and seemingly positive demeanor and "respectful" positions is what America needs right now. Tim Walz lied about his service to our country and ran when it was his turn to go to war. His men went with him and told the world who he really is. Only a low IQ voter falls this schtick.

As a young woman who is so close to voting but nearly misses the cut off, I hope to get my rights back soon as well as my hope for the future. But seeing this makes me feel like there’s a chance maybe my generation’s future isn’t totally screwed. I just hope I don’t get shot my senior year so I even get the chance to vote. Kinda a joke but sadly not really 🤷♀️

It's Trump who is trying not to say what his policies are, because the 100+ people from his administration who worked on project 2025 realized how deeply unpopular they are. Cutting education. Banning porn. Gutting the government's ability to do anything about corporate power. Destroying unions and workers rights.
It's all written down plain as day if you're not aware of it. There are copious training videos they made for his administration, too. They poured many millions of dollars and man-hours into it.
