Did Eagle to Steamboat a couple of weeks ago. The south end would be nasty if wet. I got a little sideways in the corner before the water but made it through the water with dry feet. Nice ride overall. btw. My nickname is Wet Paint. I ride so slowly that it's like watching paint dry.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Glad you made it through without getting soaked! It's always a nice ride overall, despite the tricky spots. I love your nickname "Wet Paint"-riding at your own pace and enjoying the journey is what it’s all about. Stay safe out there, and keep enjoying the ride!
Just got back earlier this week from running south to north and then back to Dolores again. Didn't see too many groups once we got out of the San Juans which was surprising.
@@zeromileadv I've been down Ophir more times than up, but on my 500 this time it was a breeze. I did it on an 890 a few years back and it was definitely more of a workout. The roughest section on that pass is the last run after the switchback to the top, the rocks are much larger and looser through there. By no means is it the toughest pass out there though.
@@texlee84 going down that upper section of Ophir ie the skree field is a beast of a workout!! I think I’d much rather ride up that section rather than down

@@zeromileadv I prefer to climb as well but it's much easier going down than up IME.
Will you be posting the next 4 sections?
@@emilyharris1850 I’m working on them now 😀
