In 1978 I was 19 years old and I got saved at the altar of a Pentecostal church. I would listen to Br.Roloff on KSKY 660 am radio. He didn’t care for Pentecostal folks and he said so in his broadcast. Pentecostal preaching at that time was exactly the same as his and I can almost guarantee he never went to a Pentecostal meeting. I like listening to him on the radio coz he preached to exactly like the Pentecostals, but the Pentecostals loved to get plum happy in their meetings. Bless everyone 🙂
I was also at Temple and remember when Bro. Roloff preached at Highland Park Baptist Church. He was a no nonsense man of God for sure. He helped many teenagers and young people turn from sin and fix their hearts onto the Saviour. We need men of God like that for sure today.
Those who love the truth, whom is Christ, also love His messengers such as Brother Roloff and Brother Roberson. Truth hurts sometimes, but we should never let it make us bitter.
I was sitting in the auditorium for this message. I was 18 years old. I remember the controversy amongst the TTU students as a result of Br. Roloff's comments on the New KJV. One of TTU's grad school professors was part of the team who worked on the New KJV. I think his name was Dr. James Cravens. I doubt Br. Roloff knew that, or he would have called Dr. Roberson out on it in front of us all. That was just the way he rolled. I also remember how shocked we all were a month later when Dr. Roberson told us in Chapel about Br. Roloff's plane going down. Memories!
To jasonlewis1926... reading your comment about Bro. Roloff being a cult and how bad he was...it makes me angry reading what you said against one of the most caring preachers I've ever had the blessing to listen to many years ago....his ministry was a great part of my children's spiritual growth as well as my husband and mine.
I agree. I was in Rebekah 74 to 75 and I live my life for Jesus every day. I’m 63 now. Jesus has healed me from stage 4 cancer, and it’s bc I claimed His promises that Bro Roloff taught us. My husband and I prayed every morning and night, believing Gods Word. I’m in remission. He was the greatest preacher and most honest ever!
I was there in 74/75. I resented it also, until I fully repented. Living my life for Jesus every day now. Stage IV cancer survivor bc I claimed Jesus promises every day from Gods Word. I ran away from the home on a visitation night. Bro. Roloff had it right! I praise Jesus for His Grace!
Was raised in this cult, and attended Tennessee Temple. As usual, there was rampant abuse associated with Roloff at the Rebekah Home and with Lee Robertson at Tennessee Temple. People like Roloff and Robertson need to be criticized for their treatment of people. Thank god I was able to get the hell out, even though my immediate family rejected me for doing so. Unbelievable…
So where are you at today? Has your great move out made you high and holy, perfect and whole? Typically such statements are from backslidden Christians who blame everyone for everything but never look in the mirror?
I came out of the Lester Roloff homes. I am sorry, but not once did I ever see any. Abuse. I was there for nearly two years. All I ever saw from Lester Roloff and those that worked for him was a dedicated staff that cared about what they were doing. Now if you want to say you didn't agree with the man's theology or philosophy. Then preach all you want too, but abuse I never once saw it.
His followers did not pass these two: Romans 14:17 "for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." They tortured and abused boys and girls (in their care) in their facilities, in their "homes" and camps.

He also stole the babies from girls in his care and sold them for his own profit.

I still read and memorize the KJV. ❤

@@roznaber2311, honest? He was jailed for torturing young girls.
Im a Rebekah girl, in the 70s. Know will ever understand how we got shattered behind them doors
People won’t listen to you or the truth. He was one of the most bigheaded cult leaders there ever was.
@jondstewart sounds like God Almighty might have taken him out. Take heed and repent lest a worse thing happen to you.

KJV 1611 is the only Version, bc it’s NOT copy written.
Roloff wasn't aware of abuse
He was totally aware; he let it happen!
Y’all stop lying

You cant get anything but abuse/p3d0s with OSAS/123 pray after me, just turns people into still born two-fold children of hell.

He practiced those traits as long as he was being interviewed. But he was a bigheaded power-hungry tyrant in reality.
@randydodd7838 whatever it was, he was an insecure, overbearing, dictatorial, psychopathic, maniacal lunatic. Just like Major Payne
We will see one day whose right.
@randydodd7838Couldn’t use the Bible, had to find a new book. And, who is Randall Arthur?
Lighthouse 83 4. Lots of physical abuse saw this the whole year beatings and starvation
