All jobs are at will . Will I show up on time, will I show up everyday and will I do everything required. Then you have to worry about will I get laid off, will I get fired and will I get paid.
If you have a job with security clearance, you can be fired for poor credit because you could be subject to extortion or blackmail if your finances are bad.
Meanwhile the devastation in North Carolina and Tennessee is more widespread and horrendous. But because their homes and property aren't as overpriced as Florida, they are being overlooked by the media.
I agree with this strategy - I see so many instances of theft in private and local govt. I also feel bad for this particular person as there are def instances when people go through a hard time - medical, divorce, etc. So many people are so much in debt that theft has skyrocketed out of control so I can understand that companies need to tighten internal controls and policies
I don't care I was disqualified from the military .was not accepted. I went to unless took all the tests and then they sent me a letter saying I was not qualified
What happened to me is that my worked pretty much dried up. The movie industry has tanked. So I haven't worked much in the last two years because of the strikes. So things have been rough. I'm still keeping my head above water. I'm glad I saved money, and I've had to live on that money. So if people are having a hard time it's pretty crappy that we're judged by the credit report. I think it's ridiculous!!
I might point something out to you. Businesses are closing up all across the nation. Just today, I heard that 7-eleven is closing all their stores. Whirlpool went bankrupt. So did Red Lobster. Businesses are shedding people any way they can. If your looking for a decent job, good luck. Employers seem to think like this administration. They don't follow the very laws they helped to create. But people will remember this when we hit depression levels and we're not far from it now. You can only break trust so much and after that, no one will trust you. Companies are doing that now. Over ten million men are reported as no longer working in the US. But what they're not telling people is that even though hiring signs are out in front of businesses everywhere, they're not hiring citizen workers. They're hiring migrants workers to replace the citizen workers. You can send hundreds of resumes out only to get maybe one or two call backs. Everyone is reporting on this in video comments. But these migrants workers aren't here to stay. They can come across the border, work a couple of years and move back to their native land and retire. I've seen it happen on multiple occasions. When they leave, where will that leave employers? Yeah. And to add insult to injury, they steal while they're here. I've not been there, but I've heard NYC is terrible right now. Makes one wonder if this administration is in league with the cartels in Mexico.
The big blue states are definitely in league with the cartels, and are using the 20 milion illegals who have come across the Mexican border to illegally register to vote! And the cartels are bringing in unaccompanied minors to traffic, also!
I get very disturbed when I read or watch how these hop the border people scam America and they are allowed to do so!! Our vote will change things on Nove 5th!
The law is called At Will employment. You or I can be fired for no reason. You or I can also resign for no reason. It’s a foundational concept that is meant to reserve freedom. Probably at the management level the employer needs more reason to let a manager go to avoid legal repercussions.
I worked before for DoD with clearance and if you have a bad credit, you will be terminated or contract revoked. They consider you as a high risk for being bribe.

It's particularly hilarious to me that EVs pollute more on the tire front, the particles and all that. The set the laws in opposition, where you’re always in a catch-22. Like job requires good credit you haven’t had a job to establish credit. Therefore catch-22.
I understand your statement that you'd rather explain yourself upfront - but that is only true if you want to keep working for that company which is willing to fire you over your credit rating. If you can find a better job or prefer to work for a company that won't do that, there's no need to explain yourself.
They got fired for any number of reasons which weren't stated. They were looking for an excuse. They simply did not want that person around any longer.
This is not a new thing. It depends on the level of employment or status of your position. Particularly, management position. Bad credit can affect your position in your job and ability to be hired into a position. Ordinarily, people interviewing for a high visibility posts can be subjected to a credit review.
Objectivity says that you get hired because you can perform a task or group of tasks. You are kept because you perform that job well. It has nothing to do with personal credit history. People have become divorced from reality. Subjectivity is running rampant among lots of people these days.
@patrickvernon4766 what kind of work do you do? What's your educational level? Perhaps we can designate you a useless eater and solve the problem one at a time.
They got rid of them at my local Walmart. Drugs and prostitution got a little too pervasive, not to mention the trash that was just tossed to the wind. They still allow semi-truck drivers to take a few hours of nap time, but that's it.
I went to the Honda dealership last Saturday. It was totally empty - not one person looking to buy a car. Right there, that is the truest sign of a destroyed economy.
Crazy I was at a Honda dealership the other day and it was busy , between my brother buying a motorcycle and the handful of people looking and or doing business I was surprised to see it that busy . Guess it really depends on where.
Interesting fact about Florida's congressional delegation: Before the pre-election vacation/recess, all the Florida Republicans in Congress voted NO on a request to increase FEMA's disaster assistance fund. I know the governors of North Carolina and Georgia declined (for now) FEMA assistance as they feel they have enough state and local resources to handle the damage from hurricane Helene; I wonder what DeSantis has planned for Florida. Interesting that 1.4 million chickens were saved from becoming "homeless", but it also means that they are assured of "certain demise" in the near future. ☹
Being in a position to stay part time in a huge corporation, I've found it to have some benefits. Not being subject to "reviews" and all that 🐴 shit, staying just outside the boundries of certain obligations. They can still can me of course. I've found that I'm on the outer reaches of their radar. Such as - we need to can that high salary guy.. besides that - just too much internal drama for me.
Firing someone for a random credit checkup could open the employer to wrongful termination to discriminate against an employee unless it was disclosed at the time of employment. Employers, such as the government and military, have policies on credit standing known by the employees. Otherwise, firing an existing employee for a credit check could be perceived as discrimination. I know what you're saying companies are looking to get rid of people, but they're putting themselves at risk for wrongful termination lawsuits, in California at least. Did they inform their employees they would be doing random credit checks and would have to meet a credit standard? During the GFC some of my clients in short sales were military and government personnel and if they had a foreclosure on their credit report it would impact their jobs negatively. There was a lot of pressure to make those short sales work because a short sale was acceptable, whereas a foreclosure was not. California is the most consumer-friendly state and employees are consumers.
I know atm workers that handle tens of thousands of dollars in cash. I see them and you know, their credit scores can’t be that great. You don’t see them getting fired.
15 or so years ago, I accepted a voluntary lay-off at age 52 during the Great Recession. Stressful at the time. Been mostly retired ever since. If I could do it over again, I absolutely would!

$345 billion? For dear old Milton taking a walk through Florida? Well, if the swampland weren't so bloody over-priced, if the folks there hadn't been building houses-mansions-McMansions, motels, hotels, entertainment parks, and EXTREMELY PRICEY nursing homes, it wouldn't be that amount. I mean, really, didn't those developers in the '60s, '70s, and '80s notice the fine tropical weather with Coriolis storms passing by every two or three years? Over-priced, irresponsible planning, and our dear old friends GREED, PRIDE, and ENVY turned Florida from a mosquito-infested swamp into a Paradise built in Hell. Thanks to Mama Nature, who doesn't give a fig leaf for her "children". Well, storm-water under the demolished bridge. Truth and consequences. Well Dan is telling you like it is folks: he's Not about to sugar coat it for your delicate ears... As an example: the dreaded 'D" word is the greatest destroyer of wealth ever invented i.e. especially for the man as the laws are engineered (stacked) against the man to dole out every thing to the little ole lady from Pasadena , if you get my drift... Yes and then there's the 'at will' clause in your job acceptance document... They can fire you without even having to tell you why... Even your race, age, education, work history (performance as a good little slave who did every thing you were told , often without pay just to keep your job from evaporating) can't save you from being thrown out on the bricks with barely the shirt on your back... Always be prepared for the worst, when you least expect it: that's when it happens... Like the classic misery loves company at the bar song says' You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille...'.

All jobs are at will . Will I show up on time, will I show up everyday and will I do everything required. Then you have to worry about will I get laid off, will I get fired and will I get paid.
Good luck trying that where I work. UAW strong !!!
If you have a job with security clearance, you can be fired for poor credit because you could be subject to extortion or blackmail if your finances are bad.
Or if you get arrested
@@Noworries-PU7ye True. Any arrest has to be reported immediately.
@@ericl452 that's why I'm glad I'm retired. I don't work any longer.
The realist shyt you said is these jobs are not your friend. Keep moving forward. 💯
Good content, this does happen.
In the military, you can be denied a Top Secret Clearance if you have bad credit. At least that was back in the good old days. Who knows now.
I don't care I was disqualified from the military .was not accepted. I went to unless took all the tests and then they sent me a letter saying I was not qualified
now the commander in chief can have bad credit
Well either way for all practical purposes they are.
The government is always hiring. It's how they get the job numbers up. Take a civil service exam.
7/11isn't closing their stores, they are being pursued by Coche Tard for a buyout.
Yep it has been a problem for years. CT made a law a few years ago making it illegal for employers to do credit checks on employees.
I worked before for DoD with clearance and if you have a bad credit, you will be terminated or contract revoked. They consider you as a high risk for being bribe.

At 15:30 about card use notifications, It makes zero sense to not use only cards/banks that do this. Knowing immediately is very helpful.
It's particularly hilarious to me that EVs pollute more on the tire front, the particles and all that. And you know you don't have to do much dmg to EVs to total them, I am not surprised that insurance companies look at them differently. The battery gets punctured you're looking at 20k right off the bat, not including fixing the actual car.
There should be a credit check for those people that have access to sensitive information and have control over others.
Delete Me sounds like an advertisement for a new mob. Get deleted today! But wait!! There's more! For a limited time we will delete two for the price of one 😆
The set the laws in opposition, where you’re always in a catch-22. Like job requires good credit you haven’t had a job to establish credit. Therefore catch-22.
So if someone has no debt, do they zero credit and can lose their job, isn’t right.
I understand your statement that you'd rather explain yourself upfront - but that is only true if you want to keep working for that company which is willing to fire you over your credit rating. If you can find a better job or prefer to work for a company that won't do that, there's no need to explain yourself.
Agreed
Oh goodness this is so awful. Must achieve financial independence and leave not only the workforce but also the country
Thanks Dan! 👍

This is not a new thing. It depends on the level of employment or status of your position. Particularly, management position. Bad credit can affect your position in your job and ability to be hired into a position. Ordinarily, people interviewing for a high visibility posts can be subjected to a credit review.
Does the President get a credit check?
DAN! Where is the freaking sunshine and where are the waves? You need to include surfing in your videos more often. NLT NV.
AT WILL employees can be fired for ANY reason!!!!!!!!!!!
Except for federally protected reasons, race, gender, age etc.
You are right about that
If a company is assessing risk and an employee has bad credit, they could be deemed a credit risk. Use it as a reason to let people go.
I see nothing wrong with what DeSantis said if people steal and get shot it's their own fault, he was just telling them up front what could happen.
And that is always what happens if you steal and loot in FL! which is why the looters loot in Marxist blue states, then come to FL to spend it!
Objectivity says that you get hired because you can perform a task or group of tasks. You are kept because you perform that job well. It has nothing to do with personal credit history. People have become divorced from reality. Subjectivity is running rampant among lots of people these days.
Dan, The ones saying Your doom and gloom will have to learn the hard way instead of learning from others. 👍

They got rid of them at my local Walmart. Drugs and prostitution got a little too pervasive, not to mention the trash that was just tossed to the wind. They still allow semi-truck drivers to take a few hours of nap time, but that's it.

Insurance companies 'know' that there are going to be catastrophic weather/earthquake events in the future so they are getting out of the way.
Unbelievable. People unwilling to spend $30k on an imported car. What is this world coming to?
In law enforcement, you will not get a job with bad credit.
Good 😅😂
Firing someone for a random credit checkup could open the employer to wrongful termination to discriminate against an employee unless it was disclosed at the time of employment.
It is absolutely impossible to spell the word HATRED without using the letters in REDHAT. Greetings from Canada
I know atm workers that handle tens of thousands of dollars in cash. I see them and you know, their credit scores can’t be that great. You don’t see them getting fired.
There is no such thing as trading to get rich if it were truth there is no poor working class.
15 or so years ago, I accepted a voluntary lay-off at age 52 during the Great Recession. Stressful at the time.
Been mostly retired ever since. If I could do it over again, I absolutely would!
Same here. Offered early retirement at age 60 during the great recession, and took it. Seven months later, I got a call to come back part-time doing my old job for more money. Did it for two-years, fully retired now.
What if you're somebody like me who has NO credit?
(By and by, I live in Puerto Rico, and had to enjoy darling María in '17 and all the gifts she left. Because I didn't have the wherewithal to do anything. And I live in a concrete-block shack.)
Georgia is a right to work state. Employers can fire the employee for ANY reason.
Dannnnnnnnnnn, are you running filters? Looking good my man.
I hire in in the morning and quit in the evening. Never ever expect your job to last more than one day!
Will they check congress credit too?
This crazy they dont want anyone to work. Okay then steal from them?

Can we fire the federal government for being trillions in debt.
Since fema can't or won't do their job, how about we just disband that entire department and send them home. The locals reportedly do the operations better, so, let's hire them instead.
