How long would you expect someone to take to be stabile in a neutral backfly position? I just started trying to backfly and found it very humbling. I feel like I'm trying to fly two independent objects. Everyone has a different way of coaching it. The only way I've found lift is with my feet fairly close and knees apart. And yes, it lacks stability.
At least one hour maybe two to get really good at it. Knees and feet wide gives lift without forward drive. Stretched legs gives lift and forward drive.
