I'm not too sure about recovering it slowly, one of Sam's best attributes is the Constant healing from repeatedly picking them up, but if I were to add something in his Base it would be that Shield idea in my vid but severely nerfed, like a 10% shield and the shield is immediately gone when you throw the Gauntlets Maybe I just wanna see Sam being OP, still, but hey, ifthe healing were in his Bass Kit, the potential for his other 2 Star Powers could be really good or Remote Recharge but way worse 🥹
Honestly I think the fact Sam immediately gets a super is pretty overpowered especially in duels as a lead so you can just immediately get your super on your other powerhouses

Yeah I do use Sam in Duels occasionally, just have to be mindful to die with your Super in hand if you do decide to use him
