Can tell the difference between the ones who have no fucken idea whatsoever going full noise and rock hard tires compared to just walking up it and not far off idling and probably running 12psi. Good for a laugh at how capable these cars are and incapable these drivers are.

@@OverlandUnknown Momentum? Did you see the Prado at 19:40? It's ALL tire pressure on Fraser. Not until you go next level with dunes should you need to do more than breathe on the throttle pedal. 30 years ago a 4WD made like 60hp and went all the same places.

I did Fraser and Ngkala about 7-8 years ago in a Bog Stock 75 series Landcruiser with a flogged out 1HZ (4.2 Diesel). Only mods at the time were 33 MT's and a winch. Had to wait hours in a que only to watch almost everyone bog and have to lower pressures more and try again and again before finally getting tire pressures low enough. I didn't have any drama's in my heavy slug with tires down to about 12PSI. But the amount of people who sat in line, didn't bother to lower tire pressure til they bogged and then lowered tire pressure. :(
How do you get the message across that if you bog there, it's too late, you already made a huge mistake. You didn't lower your tire pressures enough and even with tires pressures lowered it can still be a bitch to get going again. Just lower tire pressures from the start! Much easier on the vehicle, the track and on everyone's (including your) nerves. I was able to get through with a heavily loaded leaf spring under powered clunker without spinning wheels or breaking traction at all. I was flatt out in second low but all things considered, I got through easy. Maybe they need to put a sign at the start at the south end of Ngkala saying something like
"Please put your tire pressures down to about 1/3 of your road pressures (about 12-14 PSI for most 4WDs)"
You dont really have a risk of rolling a bead off until about 8PSI, unless your being STOOPID.
That really should be known by ALL 4WDer's.
Next is Gear. Low range (if you have it) and 2nd gear. If you have plenty of power, then it should be easy.

I did this same track as a kid in a 83 model Hilux with a 2 litre petrol engine and cheese cutter tyres. Didn't have the power back then and didn't get stuck either. It was all about correct tyre pressure, correct range and gear selection. Then along came an upgrade to the 85 Hilux with the 2.4 diesel. Wow it was a big upgrade in power at the time. So basically, power is a luxury. The basics still apply to all the modern 4wds.

Is the air very expensive over there? Because people let the pressure down after the get bogged.

What is it about Australians not wanting to let their damn tyres down. Must think getting bogged and thrashing the vehicle is better.

Passage Hunter..Hey mate, I've got a 2020 LTZ, (auto),with the factory wheels (I've since fitted AT's) and it goes extremely well off road, but I haven't had it on sand yet. Planning a trip to Frazer soon. Have you still got the 18" wheels on yours ? I had in mind about 10-12 psi to give myself a bit of a chance.

I LOVE THIS SHIT!!!....Every dam week 😊....TOOL AFTER TOOL, AFTER TOOL..BOGGED!!...
YES PEOPLE, IF YOU ARE ON THIS VIDEO...BOGGED...YES, YOU MOST CERTAINLY ARE A TOTAL TOOL!
Keep filming these fools guys, its going to take 5yrs but slowly, it WILL sink into MOST 4x4 owners..
AIR DOWN, 18psi MINIMUM... BEFORE HITTING THIS DAM STRIP AND ANY OTHER CHEWED, USED OR ABUSED SAND TRACK!!
    TOOLS!!
(and yep, even with a 488kw supercharged double locked Patrol...I DO air down EVERY TIME TO 18psi at ALL sand tracks to start)
