For those of you who haven’t heard of this show, Dark is a German-language Netflix original series that was released earlier this month. If you like dark (heh) family dramas that happen to span generations and also the space-time continuum, this is the show for you. I very much enjoyed binge-watching it and subsequently making this vid.
A big shout-out to my lovely mutuals on Twitter who made me want to watch this wonderful show, and a big thank you in particular to Helena (melodyofafallentree - / melodyofafallentree ) who not only convinced me to watch this show, but also kindly helped me with some of the German translation of the voiceovers during the bridge.

For me the show was so much that the "time-line issue" I love the family relationship and of course how everything is CONNECTED but this is a very good video, and parallels and fotography so BEAUTIFUL.

It always makes me think what if that's really true (interconnection of past present and future)? I mean how could the life be if it's true. Though my affection to this series is at peak right now as I just finished it's first season and all the characters are stucked in my mind just wondering who will be who ??? This is the first series which fucked my mind a lot. Love to the whole cast and especially the director.
Because it is. Look into some of the physics and philosophy. Like the symbolism, gnostic texts.

Gosh... I don't even know where to start... well the beginning I guess!! The pacing with all the clocks was incredible!!
And then, I was really struck by the way you showed Jonas' loneliness, well that's the way I saw it anyway, with showing how he's still haunted by his father, after all those years, it just reminded me how lonely he is. He could have had Martha, but then he can't cause she's his aunt, and he's all alone, haunted by his father's death.
And then, the rest of the vid got me deep into that fucking hopeless feel of the show, that whatever you do, it's powerless, cause you've done it before, and it's just going in circles, and there's no way out. And it's both tragic and terrifying. And so is the show, and your vid just depicted that in such an amazing way!!
Your editing is, as always, flawless, I said it'd be a masterpiece and it really is!!

i love the subtle ways the lyrics hit the right spots without giving away much spoilers but after watching the series it's more deeper

i have accepted i may never watch this show ... but ... this video ... made me want to watch it (of course it did). I love that even though I don't know the fandom well at all, I can still see the Briony vidding hallmarks, its like, comforting while also being ART! The objects!!! the Symbols!! The focus on that red rope tying it all (lel). and of course, the emotional gut punches that you do so well. Who is after season 3 😁?
I’ve never understood why these children got kidnapped and why they died while they sat on the chair...and why their eyes got burnt. It’s nowhere described
I believe it’s implied that those children were used to test out the God Particle and investigate those who can “travel” and those who cannot. In season two they also suggested that travelling takes its toll on the body (re: Adam’s disfigurement), so I think that combined with testing out the God Particle might account for those children, etc. But who knows! Perhaps season three will offer further insight.
