All the years I have been going to the State Meet as an Iron Ranger shooting pics for Mesabi East, Grand Rapids teams. THIS by FAR was THE best race to date I have ever seen! I was standing at the "Y" before entering the stadium. I had goosebumps as I could hear the screams from the huge crowd out in the woods as they advanced to the opening. I hated that I couldn't be at the Finish but I loved where I was as they were so close together.
Conversely, I (Anne's mom; also videographer) wish I could have been out on the course watching the race build to its exciting conclusion! All around a fun day and a great day for girls' sports.
So true and thank you for your nice comment. I - the person who made the video - am the mother of Bib 202 in this race. Medaling at the Olympics as Jessie has now done twice is a long road, with the foundation including early races like these to develop the skills and confidence required to be a champion. Bib 202 gained much from the experience also.
Jessie is so beast that at the smaller races (generally between roseville, stillwater & 1 or 2 other schools from our confrence) she will skii against the boys team & win

few of us have any idea how much work goes into being an athlete with goals and motivation to do the possible.

Here comes Diggins!!!
But give the other skier credit for catching her and making it an exciting race! :)
Yes! Annie went to college but then after that, joined the same professional team as Jessie (SMS T2 based in Vermont).

Go Jessie! I love her
Congatulations to both of you! You skied excellent races and it was really fun to be a part of it with you! :)
Great race, ladies!
This Diggins kid may have a chance to do some special things.
