Go to The Icon Siam pier enjoy the dacing music fountain and travel in Chao Phraya river by boat (very cheap price).
Wating for the big fire work near the river on the midnight of Decenber 31th. there.

Does Bankok celebrate Christmas/New Year's & if so; did/are you filming that?
They celebrate New Years in February based on a different calendar
Thais are also celebrate Christmas and New Year on 25 December - 1 January.
We have the coutdown events at midnight of 31 December. On February is Chinese New Year, We are also celebrate the festival. Traditional Thai New Year is Songkarn Festival during 13-15 April.
