Who's been to the CAYMAN ISLANDS? 🇰🇾👇
Been there many times did my OW certification and have just come back from a fantastic holiday diving on East End and West side ... amazing dives! A shame you didn`t get to the Kittewake its a favourite of mine.
@@amandaelderfield6696 I'm sure we'll get there eventually!! 🫡
Live in Cayman for 41 years.
Top 5 Shore Dives: 1) Eden Rock 2) Lighthouse Point 3) Sunset House 4) Turtle Reef 5) Cobalt Coast (now called Nova)
@@Divetech2 super useful list! 👌
Been there 4 times, scuba diving three of those times. I never made it to these sites, but never say never!! Thanks for sharing. Beautifully shot. 🤙
Thank you! Something to add to the bucket list!
I used to live across the street in the early 90s, some of the best days of my life! Every morning was a dilemma: Do I jump in the shower get dressed, or run across the street for a snorkel/free dive? Or bike down the street to Smith's Cove? I lived there when National geographic filmed a segment there, the tiny jellies. And I had lots of fun with them and the Tarpon and the eels and the local Goliath grouper. Fun times. But it was also the only place where i thought i was going to die-my buddy went through a pitch black tunnel where we had to take off our tanks and push them through the narrow hole ahead of us (neither of us were cave certified).
Awesome! Thank you for that amazing bit of backstory! 👊
Wow, amazing! 😁
nice job again Nick 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm so self absorbed (dunning-kruger poster-child) i forgot to mention how amazing your video is! Great footage (as expected) but also script, editing and audio. Kudos!
Haha thank you! You get extra point for mentioning Dunning-Kruger though, which most people don't even know! Thank you for the compliments 🙏 I really appreciate it!
This is a great video 👌
Thank you gang! 🇨🇦
amazing dive and amazing video about it
Thank you! I'm really glad you like it!
Surprised you didnt dive the north wall while in cayman. Steep 8000ft drop off, excellent rec and tec dive sites. Nice and sharky too
OR.... is that our next episode in two weeks? 🤔😉
@@DiveSAGA Nice, glad you didnt miss out. Out of curiosity what dive operation did you go with?
@@chrisnicholson8679 Turtle divers I believe
Hey nick I did both of those dives on a day off when i was working in Cayman I have to agree very impressive shore diving spot quite easy to get lost if you dont know the site i think 😂
Yeah luckily when the viz is good, you can just ascend a bit and get a clear overview!
Great episode and nice visibility…shame that you’re now showing all these beautiful hot places while we’re coming to a winter and cold waters…
Nevertheless it will be good to test my heated kit and battery soon!!!
You can always put it on your list for next summer! Besides, the Caribbean never truly get cold!
@@DiveSAGA it's always on my list...but never worked so far...one day it will
Are the camera set-up you use expensive? It looks very specialised. What would you say are some interesting places to dive near the Netherlands. 😂😅 Because the Cayman Islands or the great barriers reef are expensive to go to. I'm considering Malta and have done my DSD in Pula Croatia.
Yeah Malta or even Mallorca has great diving. The camera set-up is a bit pricey but I use it a lot for work!
Like most of the Caribbean.. no fish
