Instead of partaking of the Kino sale this time, I found better pricing at B & N, who were offering KL titles at 50% off. I ordered the next 3 Dark Side of Cinema boxsets: XX, XXI, and pre-ordered XXII -- all at half price!! And I also knabbed The Kingdom of the Spiders, and Millenium Mambo on blu ray.
I'm new to physical this year from the VHS era, I saved up for the Oct sales: I bought all the Kino Cult line from the Orbit sale, then another $450 in the Kino Fall Sale. Then almost the same in the Scream Factory sale. I feel like I have almost everything I ever wanted now and can go back to being the cheap miser that I usually am.
Hey Ken, nice pick ups do yourself a favor and pick up stalag 17 while you can still get the slip van tastic movie directed by Billy Wilder and William Holden won an Oscar for best lead actor. Billy was also nominated for best Director. I wouldn’t steer you wrong. Have a great one.👍
My orders arrive usually within a week even if I order late in the sale. Perhaps it has to do with location. Either that or they think I'm extra special! 😁
In for Death Machine (Blu-ray)Turbulence (4KUHD) Blown Away (4KUHD) Dressed to Kill (4KUHD) Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) (4KUHD) Narrow Margin (4KUHD) Runaway Train (Blu-ray) No Way Out (4KUHD)
I bought six titles from Kino Lorber's sale, and they arrived within a week after I ordered them. I got In & Out, Brokeback Mountain, Needful Things, Can't Stop the Music, Cry Baby, and Tom of Finland. Those were great deals. I need to check them out in the future for other sales.
The most famous killer bee movie is Irwin Allen’s The Swarm (1978). But when you mentioned “Swarm” at the beginning of the video, I’ll bet you were thinking about “Squirm” which is the one about killer worms. (It’s worth getting by the way.)
I love the original Invasion of The Body Snatchers, I thought about getting the 4K, but I already have the Olive Films signature edition Blu Ray which has most of the same special features as the kino; I think one of the commentary tracks is new to the KL 4K
Both the 50s and 70s Body Snatchers films are wonderful! But watch the earlier one first to fully appreciate one of the greatest callbacks ever when you see the 70s version!
Picked up these 4K titles: Cry baby, Le Doulas, Red Dragon, No way out, To live and die in LA, Blown Away, Original Manchurian candidate, Face off, Bad Lieutenant, Zoltan Dracula dog, Eastern Promises, Last castle,Mystery men, The Score
I got that series they say is the Italian answer to Breaking Bad seasons 1-5 Gomorrah and some of the newer 4Ks like Blown away and Needful things but I have a cart full ready to buy here on Friday for close 200 I spent 112 on the first order
I picked up Cujo, Changing Lanes, and Sudden Death. Was disappointed that Kindergarten Cop didn’t have a slip anymore but I can pick it up elsewhere I guess with the slip included.
Where else sells Kino Lorber movies with the slip? I've been wanting to get Mad Max, but it has no cover. I'm torn between loving the clean look without all the labels and wondering if covers are just superfluous, lol.
I picked up six titles (thus far) in this sale: ‘Brokeback Mountain (4K)’ ‘Daisy Miller (BR),’ ‘Empire of the Ants (BR), a cheesey sci-fi with Joan Collins from the late 70s),’ ‘52 Pick Up (BR),’ Hannibal (4K),’ and ‘In and Out (4K).’ There’s a couple more I am considering ordering before the sale is over. Also have an order through the Scream Factory sale that I’m waiting on, but it’s only a couple titles because their prices weren’t the greatest. Can’t wait for the Criterion sale next..
I haven't bought any from them since July. I figure since they do so many sales and they are always the same prices. So I skipped this one since I have spent a lot lately and knew SF sale was coming. KL does have more I want so will wait til next sale.
Good haul. There were few things I wanted that weren't on sale so I ended up hitting up the barnes and nobles sale. Free shipping and credit I had still from criterion sale I ended up spending less through them. All those insect movies are 12 there
FYI Ken, I want some of these Kino Cult films, like Frogs, Squirm, Food of the Gods, Kingdom of the Spiders, Empire of the Ants, but Kino" DID NOTHING TO THESE FILMS" they got the rights to release them, BUT THE Blu-Ray Transfers are 10 or 15 years old. I will wait to see if they do more "Modern Transfers for these films"..
My Kino haul:🙂 The Taking of Pelham One Two Three 4K Cry-Baby 4K Deluge On The Beach I still want to get The Outer Limits, but I might get that from B&N’s Kino sale they got going on at the moment, it’ll depend on how much I spend this month
I ordered day. 1 of the sale and still haven’t received my order. Maybe it takes longer because I live in California? I have Narrow Margin on DVD. It is a one time watch. It completely bombed at the box office when it came out in 1990.
That Invasion of the Body Snatchers was a HUGE disappointment in terms of picture quality. I'd say they were 2 or 3 generations away from camera negative.
I got a ton of stuff too. Cry-Baby (4KUHD) (4K UHD) Turbulence (4KUHD) (4K UHD) Blown Away (4KUHD) (4K UHD) Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) (4KUHD) (4K UHD) Killer's Kiss (4K UHD) Bwana Devil (3-D) (Blu-ray) The Last Tycoon (Special Edition) The Valachi Papers (Blu-ray) House of the Long Shadows (Special Edition) The Outside Man (aka Un Homme est Mort) No Mercy (Special Edition) The White Buffalo Get Crazy (Special Edition) Mr. Wong Collection [Mr. Wong, Detective/The Mystery of Mr. Wong/Mr. Wong in Chinatown/The Fatal Hour/Doomed to Die]
Hi Ken, love your channel, just curious, what do you do for a living that allows you to spend so much money on physical media, you must be like a CEO at a company pulling in over 100k a year. I make a decent living, but my physical media budget is like $100-$150 a month. Unless you are independently wealthy!!!!
Frogs is a pretty good horror movie & twisted was garbage not very good. And death machine is a 90's fun movie. And terror out of the sky is another good movie & I remember seeing Turbulence in theaters back in 1997 and what a garbage movie not good at all. And I remember seeing blown away back 1994 in theaters and blown away was ok but could have been better & narrow margin is a very good action thriller & bad lieutenant is a wild but good movie. And you should pick up Kino's releaes of up the creek on bluray
Ken, why do you waste your money on terrible movies like 'Frogs'? It gets 4.4 out of 10 on imbd which is generous in my opinion. I don't buy movies with a score of less than 6.5.

Bought Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), Body & Soul, and Macbeth
Narrow Margin is a guilty pleasure for me. I got the 4K on release.
Frogs is pretty cool. Basically a slasher with the villan being nature. Body Snatchers is one of the greats.
I picked up "Sweet Liberty" on bluray. It's a fun comedy with Alan Alder (also directed by), Micheal Caine , Michelle Pfeiffer and more.
So many movies to buy!!! 😃👍

I’d LOVE it if ‘The Wedding Singer’ received a 4k!
We’ll see how Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison sell first.
My orders arrive usually within a week even if I order late in the sale. Perhaps it has to do with location. Either that or they think I'm extra special! 😁
Just ordered In & Out and No Way Out on 4k, both upgraded from dvd. Also the Remembering Gene Wilder blu.

Good point about Kino Lorber's slipcovers.
Where is Braindead in 4K???
This was the first Kino sale I've skipped in quite awhile. Nothing really jumped out as anything I had to have.
The most famous killer bee movie is Irwin Allen’s The Swarm (1978). But when you mentioned “Swarm” at the beginning of the video, I’ll bet you were thinking about “Squirm” which is the one about killer worms. (It’s worth getting by the way.)
Another great bee movie that came out in 78 was swarm. Definitely worth a watch. Don't think though it's even on blu ray.
I love the original Invasion of The Body Snatchers, I thought about getting the 4K, but I already have the Olive Films signature edition Blu Ray which has most of the same special features as the kino; I think one of the commentary tracks is new to the KL 4K
Narrow Margin with Gene Hackman is a really great remake. I've watched the Kino 4k a couple weeks ago. Great disc but no HDR.
Both the 50s and 70s Body Snatchers films are wonderful! But watch the earlier one first to fully appreciate one of the greatest callbacks ever when you see the 70s version!

Blown Away is such a fun 90s action movie. I need to get that one but haven’t taken part in this sale.
I got that series they say is the Italian answer to Breaking Bad seasons 1-5 Gomorrah and some of the newer 4Ks like Blown away and Needful things but I have a cart full ready to buy here on Friday for close 200 I spent 112 on the first order
Kino Lorber crispy slips.
ken just curious when are you getting that missing giallo set from arrow. lol everytime i see that top shelf im like where is the blue set 😳
Bad Lieutenant is pure sleeze 😮 and brutal.
Kingdom of the spiders is a great William Shatner movie. I own it on DVD but i think I lost it because I can't find it. Maybe I'll buy the Bluray.
Good haul. There were few things I wanted that weren't on sale so I ended up hitting up the barnes and nobles sale. Free shipping and credit I had still from criterion sale I ended up spending less through them. All those insect movies are 12 there
I ordered like a week in and my order came in a few days.
Kino sale 😅, I wish. No such thing in the UK.
If you want the title not on sale on sale ! You need to order the title with Barnes & noble at the store ! For store pickup!
My Kino haul:🙂
The Taking of Pelham One Two Three 4K
Cry-Baby 4K
Deluge
On The Beach
I still want to get The Outer Limits, but I might get that from B&N’s Kino sale they got going on at the moment, it’ll depend on how much I spend this month
Do you rip your movies for a digital backup? While collecting physical media is a fun hobby, I prefer using plex to actually watch the movies
I ordered day. 1 of the sale and still haven’t received my order.
Maybe it takes longer because I live in California?
I have Narrow Margin on DVD. It is a one time watch. It completely bombed at the box office when it came out in 1990.
U need to save turbulence for Christmas time trust me
The first one is better for invasion. Both are good movies. More modern “body snatchers” is decent too.1993
Ken, Please tell me we are going to get 1995s Casper for 4k for it's 30th Year Anniversary next October.
Fingers crossed 🤞
In what world is the Fugitive an action movie? Asking for a friend…
This one and get new “friends”
I have zero interests in Adam Sandler 4K releases. The comedies that are most needed in my collection are Wedding Crashers and Old School. gimme
Harvey Kiietel’ s best movie
Wait, did you by any chance get Frogs?
Frogman i got at Walmart 17.96 it was so bad
That Invasion of the Body Snatchers was a HUGE disappointment in terms of picture quality. I'd say they were 2 or 3 generations away from camera negative.
You should get No Way Out 4K by Kino. Kevin Costner's best movie.
I got a ton of stuff too.
Cry-Baby (4KUHD) (4K UHD)
Turbulence (4KUHD) (4K UHD)
Blown Away (4KUHD) (4K UHD)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) (4KUHD) (4K UHD)
Killer's Kiss (4K UHD)
Bwana Devil (3-D) (Blu-ray)
The Last Tycoon (Special Edition)
The Valachi Papers (Blu-ray)
House of the Long Shadows (Special Edition)

No Mercy (Special Edition)
The White Buffalo
Get Crazy (Special Edition)
Mr. Wong Collection [Mr. Wong, Detective/The Mystery of Mr. Wong/Mr. Wong in Chinatown/The Fatal Hour/Doomed to Die]
Frogs is great. Don’t know why they didn’t just do a 4k. I only buy 4k so this is not for me
I need KL to fix their GOD damn site
Hi Ken, love your channel, just curious, what do you do for a living that allows you to spend so much money on physical media, you must be like a CEO at a company pulling in over 100k a year. Nothing really interested me in this sale. I bought any Kino titles I wanted in the last sale. They just don't put out a lot that interests me lately.
Turbulence is legitimately one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, almost shockingly bad.
Frogs is a pretty good horror movie & twisted was garbage not very good. And death machine is a 90's fun movie. Using IMDB to decide what to watch, buy or like is certainly a choice. Not a good one, but a choice.
He's soo repetitive!
