A friend said this to me yesterday, “What do you have to lose by being weak, especially when God’s power is perfected in weakness?”
Trying to look like we have it all together only ends up being a burden we were never meant to carry. At the root of my own struggle with perfection, I found the question and false belief.. Can I 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 be loved if I’m fully known?
The cross paints a different picture than the one that often surrounds us. It’s a picture of 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆. It’s a reminder that we don’t have to try to “measure up” or put on a performance. We can rest knowing that those imperfections we try so desperately to hide are already 𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 by His blood and that His grace really is sufficient. 🌺
