    Man this has been the most fascinating mini-series I have come across on TH-cam. This photographer is damn talented (of course) but then he looks great and has an awesome sense of humor. Very engaging series, largerly due to the great narrative offered by Matthieu.

    I love Paley's videos. I have seen four so far and they are all amazing. breathtaking photography and his candid commentary plus humor is so refreshing. many of these places he has gone to I know I can never go to but he's telling me about this fascinating world beyond my own and it's just so amazing

    This has been a real treat and pleasure to watch. I learned a lot and got completely immersed in these glimpses of life he gave us. I hope more videos like this get made. It's really unique.       In the case of the Hadzas: they don't have any kind of hierarchy, no chief or whatsoever. Lot of anthropologists believe that the first human groups were also organised like that.

      people romanticize this life type wayyyyy too much. It has a lot of downsides. My dad was the son of a farmer living in a remote village. Sure he complains about stress and bills in america and he misses the village life but you couldn't pay him to go back.

      However, since farming came after hunting and gathering, it is still a happy way of living life. Why? Farmers have strong social bonds in their community which helps them live happier lives (especially traditional farmers).

    What I admired about him is that he was able to draw some positive lessons from their hunter gatherer life. But why do they smoke marijuana? This is something I noticed in several TH-cam documentaries I watched about them. Does the Tanzanian government recognize these people and respect their way of life? I ask this because the government of Botswana has been notorious for disregarding the way of life of the San people. Bravo! You weren't prejudiced about them.

      Hmm atleast from what I currently know, ‘modern’ Circumpolar Human populations like the Inuit don’t smoke at all. They don’t like it and it’s almost impossible to smoke regularly within their respective ecological contexts.

    Esse tubérculo comprido, aqui no Brasil chama-se mandioca, macaxeira, ou aipim. È praticamente o alimento que abrange o país por inteiro. Frita, cozida , em forma de farinha, de diversas formas é uma delícia. Amo a Nat Geo, suas belas fotos, tudo é de uma qualidade espetacular. Desculpem não escrever em inglês, um dia chego lá.

    Awesome work, capturing so much in such a short video! Loved the couple of his other videos that I saw here. Did he do a Ted talk? If not, I totally recommend it.
