    This is also the SHARPEST NES picture you can get too. They're RGB and wired up like a arcade cabinet inside. Everything is pixel perfect, and theyre stunning to see in person. Games hit different on them

      @@Batman-jm7np The bottom base is just a stand with a cavity with an full normal NES on the inside. They only had to detacth the flip lid, the rest is just hiding behind black plastic. To get to it just take the TV off the stand.

      @@Jorda5s No, it has connections that are attached from the bottom of the TV, but the base is detachable so you can just have the TV and not the console. As it is just a standard SHARP TV but with custom composite connections on bottom.

    Yup got one with 2 black and red controllers and parents got me 5 games with it as well. Feet still intact still works.

    I still have mine! ❤ It works great. I did however had to replace one of the vacuum tubes some time ago and they aren't as hard to get as one might think because you can also get them custom made. I ended up replacing both tubes as the other one was in its way to heaven anyways. As a gamer and a collector I feel really blessed that I was able to look after my handhelds and consoles even at a young age. Video games will always have a special place in my heart. Gamer girl till i die ❤

      Not really. It's only the older combination hardware that tend to be pricy, unless your dealing with a moronic thrift store that doesn't understand values.
      Case in point I've seen a regular NES with no games and 1 controller in a thrift store showcase for 100 CAD, when its only worth 30 CAD.

      You can usually find CRTs being given away, and you can nab an HDMI to AV converter for like $10.
      I got an old Sears set and it's great for emulation or using my actual NES/64.

      I highly recommend getting a CRT TV! There is just something special, something beautiful, something more real about watching things on a CRT, it’s great!
      and in all honesty there won’t be a better time later to buy one.

    Dude, I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid.... my father saved up for months to get one of those from Kmart back in the day... Wow, I didn't think any of them the survived😮..... thanks for sharing boss😎👍... Lots of memories for sure

    TooManyGames was really fun, it was great meeting you, and all the vendors were super friendly, picked up Rougue Squadron 1 and 2 and the Rebel Strike demo disc, a Double Dash poster and Halo CE on vinyl. Also had AVGN sign my Christmas Vacation BluRay. My friend had Charles sign a poster for his son which was cool.

    My grandmother had one of these when I was a kid. A few years ago I asked her if she still had it. "yes... oh wait I gave it to your uncle last year to put in his RV..." So close I was. The nice things about these is that they are internally connected via RGB so the visual quality is amazing compared to your typical RF or composite connections in American sets.

    One of these was left in a closet in the house I bought a few months back. The two front legs are broken off and the covers for the front are missing. No controllers were left. But it still works! Talk about an insane find!

    I remember going to a swap meet in salt lake city and there was a shop that was selling a bunch of retro games and had super Mario world playing on the SNES version of this TV. It had the cartridge slot on the top and the controller ports I think on the side of the TV. It was an interesting thing to see

      I assure you, that more than a few of the current owners of these TVs are preserving them as a museum would,
      and some day, some where, some museum or other will put one on display- in the mean time though we can thank TH-cam and other sites for letting us take a look at them.

    Grab a broken one off of EBay fairly regularly for a few hundred, fix it, flip it to a collector for about $1,500. I kept a couple just in case. The hard thing to find is decent controllers and the feet still attached. They break easy. And it weighs a ton!

    It is very cool, but the fact that it still outputs in composite and not RGB takes away from it IMO. I have a very rare Nintendo Playchoice Countertop version and bought the NES link adapter which lets you play NES carts, the image is sharp and in RGB.

      Tell me about it. Got 2 tvs working and no remote. Drove 215 miles to pick one up from an ebay auction I won and when I get there the guy sold it to someone else who was too late to make a last minute bid for 10 dollars more and didn't even have the sense to call me knowing I'm on the way

    Crazy how I had this growing up in my room and I swore it was a vcr till my big bro put mario 3 on changed my life forever.... I still have it but its seen better days aka the feet😅😓

    My grandfather bought me one when I was five still have it to this day even though it needs to be replaced cuz the pins are worn out on the Nintendo

    I think I saw one at Service Merchandise or Sears. They were expensive as all get out. Back in the day when a 13' Color TV on sale for Christmas for only $249. I still have mine. It was a Samsung. I also got a 4 head VCR Samsung the next year and it was on sale for $199. Adjuat that for inflation. I still own both. Good thing I never wanted a CD-I. This was a rich persons purchase and probably dropped off at a Goodwill when clearing out their junk in the garage.
