    Great video. Do you know if there is a way to change item numbering to a letter? My company wants to change the item number to lower case letter for frame weldment or part cut list. Thanks for your help

    1:25 Why not showing the rotate view function right there? It is in the top center floating toolbar iconset.

    Is there any feature in solidworks like mapkey feature in creo. That's very useful feature; saves time

    • @with-aryan

      Custom hotkey are possible, they are located under the drop down near the settings small gear.

    Can you make a short video on the dimensioning the surfacing features such as lofted taper surfaces in drawing sheet

  • @constantinosschinas4503

    5:50, this assembly needed an exploded view so that part can be seen clearly. This is basic use of Solidworks, it should have been included.

      I'll try and cover these topics in later videos.

    Is there a easy way to create individual part drawings from an asm file !?

    • @with-aryan
      @with-aryan  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      ASM? as format?

    • @amitm4586
      @amitm4586 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No sorry, I meant i wanted to make dimensional drawing for each part in an Assembly, but I've used some assembly features, which do not show up when I open a part individually. So is there a way I can make drawing of individual part out of SLD ASM file, like we use "Select Bodies" while making drawings out of SLD PRT file. !?@@with-aryan

    How can l find a remote job with SolidWorks? Any advice on which companies to contact?

    • @with-aryan
      @with-aryan  ปีที่แล้ว

      they are not very keen on that these days! You need a Bulletproof portfolio!! Very well thought portfolio that can showcases your strength in different fields of design, not just 'cool' stuff. What industry are you in?

      If you are fresh to the employment sector, take it, starting off is hard, once you build some experience switch as needed.

    I seriously hope you were adjusting every row individually at the beginning of this video to fit that BOM table for entertainment purposes ......because that could have been done with just one click at bottom right corner of the table and sliding all rows at same time .....

    Pls tell one thing how to show only required hidden lines or i say specific hidden lines only which we need in drawing. Not only a single video i find on youtube on this topic.🙏🏻

    • @with-aryan
      @with-aryan  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have multiple views, and want only 1 view to show hidden lines, you can change only that view to show hidden lines, while the rest can have their hidden lines off. Else you can just redraw that single line using a construction line.

    • @karanoberoi3135
      @karanoberoi3135 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@with-aryan ok means their is no option in solidworks like creo for required hidden line to show only.

    I enjoy learning from you. Keep up the great work. On one note, maybe you already know this, in the video I see you counting balloons. Here is the shortcut.
    Expand the the BOM using the Carrot arrow. It shows a balloon symbol if there is a balloon. If not, there isn't a balloon symbol next to it. (cheers)

    • @with-aryan

  • @constantinosschinas4503

    2:45 !!!!!!! Jesus. You don't have to resize rows/columns one by one. You click to the top left MoveCross and then drag it from bottom right corner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Thanks for the pro tip.

    • @constantinosschinas4503
      @constantinosschinas4503 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@with-aryan It sounds like a pro tip til you try it. The way the algorythm jumps the rows and columns around will make you regret using it till you get a doctor's degree in mouse sensitivity lol. Anyway, solidworks need to address basic baby bugs (like equations nit rebuilding and many other allpha bugs), before adding new features. But that is the state of many software in our days. Greetings.

    I came here hoping that you would explain how to auto fit the rows and columns based on the cell content. But alas... I see that you, like the rest of us, manually manipulate the size.
