- Chanting helps the release of hormones and enzymes that relax and balance our organs. The Voice is the primordial instrument of transformation through sound. We only hear (the frequencies) what our own voice can produce. As we listen with our skin, the sound of the human voice massages the bones. Devotion is the simplest form of awareness. It is the most natural. There is nothing more thorough, nothing more innocent, and nothing more divine than divine chanting. Devotion is not practiced. It is the spontaneous dignity of a purified life. Creative expression is essentially devotional. Devotional energy is proportional to the self-confidence it generates. Practicing more of the same creates more confidence. In music and art, devotion is felt as longing, and there are many dimensions and textures of the emotion of longing, from longing for a lover that left us, to longing for the Beloved, an invisible mystical love. In collective chanting, we create divine vibrations that reach the spiritual world, the human world at large and our homes. Our homes become a place of love and grace. Divine Chanting is a significant and mysterious practice. It is the highest nectar, a tonic that fully nourishes our inner being. Chanting opens the heart and makes love flow within us. It releases such intoxicating inner bliss and splendour, that simply through the nectar it generates, we can enter the abode of the higher Self.
According to the Hindu Vedic view of creation, it was sound and not light that appeared first. In
Vedic parlance it is called “Nada Brahma” or the Sound Celestial. Vedic ‘rishis’ believed that the evolution of the ‘Brahmand’ or universe was caused because of ‘Bindu Visphot’ or atomic
explosion, that produced infinite waves of sound, which represent cosmic ascent and expansion. The sound was a monosyllable: “Aum”. Since “Aum” is related to the beginning of the universe, Hindus consider it the most sacred syllable with which Vedic mantras commence. Divine Chants of India is a unique compilation of some of the more powerful divine Vedic hymns musically woven in Indian classical raags, sung by Hariharan, Anup Jalota, Shankar Mahadevan and Devaki Pandit. Chanting of Vedic hymns and mantras in composite lyrics combined with the sound of music, create divine vibrations. Just as 'Meerabai' and ‘Radhika’ represent the 'lyrics of poetry' and 'rhythm of music' respectively, the delight of Vedic hymns in different 'raags' create grandeur of divine chants and enchanting devotional songs. These timeless compositions bring us entrancing recitations of Vedic hymns and shlokas that will not only delight the connoisseur but equally, and more importantly, resonate with the younger generation.
Supreme Shlokas: Invocation and salutations and Obeisance to the Great Ganesh whose effulgence is equivalent to millions of suns put together who is the Divine form of auspiciousness, Vedic God of good luck, initiator of divine light of wisdom, and the Deva [deity] of spiritualism in 'ridhi' [abundance of grains and wealth] and 'sidhi' [proliferation of spiritual liberation]. Shloka is a verse, phrase, proverb, or hymn of praise, usually composed for a specified deity/Guru.

Our creation is that guru (Brahma-the force of creation); the duration of our lives is that guru (Vishnu-the force of preservation); our trials, tribulations, illnesses, calamities and the death of the body is that guru (devo Maheshwara-the force of destruction or transformation). There is a guru nearby (Guru Sakshat) and a guru that is beyond the beyond (param Brahma). I make my offering (tasmai) to the beautiful (shri) remover of my darkness, my ignorance; (Guru) it is to you I bow and lay down my life (namah).
