Yes. Either use the specific tamper key or a pair of needle nose pliers works just fine. Once the plug is pulled it can’t be pushed back in til it’s twisted a quarter turn. There pretty common here in Pittsburgh on 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 osy valves on small systems or jockey pump line. Standard tamper switches are too big for those valves.
What is that tamper key called? I lost mine and need to replace it. Thanks!
The switch is a PTS-B , not sure if reset keys are still available . Probably have to make one .

Yes
They still make them corded style tamper switches. I installed a handful on 1” osy valves cause a regular osy tamper was to big for them.
