A valuable lesson!
However, hearing the song played completely through at the beginning of a lesson, is always a good way to begin, to give context, and as there are quite a number of classic versions of this song, which has been attributed to Tampa Red, among others.
Many feel Clapton’s tour de force version deserves mention alongside Elmore James.
