The Touch Me binders do not come with stiffener. Custom binders have a few different stiffener options- Bontex or Cardboard and also foam. You also have the ability to request the exact binder you want from the Touch Me line. You can email VDS and let them know of you want pebbly or smooth and Petra (Customer Service) will send you a few photos to choose. This is a family owned business that has been gaining in popularity. They stand by their products and quickly resolve any issues. I have never met a company willing to bend over backwards for their customers. I highly recommend joining the Van Der Spek Organizer Fans Group on Facebook to answer any Custom binder questions. 🙂 Thank you for sharing your experience.

I don't regret it. It just takes a little getting used to . Opening up the rings is so much easier now. I also plan on adding more month and daily pages, so now I can do this without worrying about over stuffing the planner. If you are looking for a slimmer planner, I would for sure go with the smaller rings. But these ones have grown on me and I love holding my planner! :-)
I found it a little confusing too! The size you want is the Manager. If you order from the Touch me collection, it will automatically come with the big back pocket, zipper pouch, card slots and secretarial pocket. You can also order from the custom planners, but on this option you have to add the back pocket and secretarial pockets to your cart separately. You have more color options this way, and the cost is a bit more. If you can find the color you like in the Touch Me line, that's your easiest option. If you have any questions, just email them. They are really great at getting back to you and will tell you how to order exactly what you want. (I even asked if they still had perle grey, and they did!!!! It's just not on their site) I hope this helps. Feel free to message me if you have any more questions!
Van der Spek is Dutch, so isn't made in the Netherlands and not in France? The custom are all made in the Netherlands. I got the same in bordeaux and with 25mm rings!

You had said that the VDS are made in France, they are actually in the Netherlands. I LOVE my VDS! I need to get the Noir too.

It says "The Senior organizer will be widened to fit A6 paper". I think it would have to be a custom order. Hope this helps!
