Albion mechanics on economy, prob related to money sink and monetization lead to unrealistic broken market, where you get punished for progressing and succeding,...
just to play the game, it was made so difficult to get into and inconvenient, to actually experience the game you need to make millions of silver daily, to be able to even think about end game where you could be losing that much in a matter of minutes,... can someone explain me where is the fun in this. Its like shitting on your time throwing it away for good? While you could be playing a game that rewards your success and actually respects your devotion...

Same, started yesterday and was excited to learn about crafting. This video convinced me to not play this game
Yea this was a pretty shitty video to be honest. Kind of does the opposite of what he's supposed to be doing (selling people on the game, thus driving more traffic to his site since he covers it). I'm still going to play this as a survival craft game, I could give a shit about the botters on the top end. Making something myself to use is so much more fun than just grinding out the most profitable whatever and buying what I want, even if it's "optimal" or whatever.
@@hadoken95 From a marketing stand point it may be shitty, but it isn't his job to sell the game to anyone. He makes videos, gives comments, and shares observations about AO because it's what he wants to do.

I actually haul all that stuff across the continent on my ox with just one character. Stopping around in the pool to fish while scooping enchanted materials along the way. Enjoying little things, you know..
I did that too, then i start to realise all the Benji tell is truth, that take away so hard the joy in little things that i unninstaled the game after a rage, and on top of it, i was not doing that for profit, i was doing that for self archviement, and even so, realise all that crap of mega cartels take all the joy away.

It seems the crafting system is kind of broken in this game. IT shouldn't be that you need an army of alts or bots to make it worth while. Because now a whole area of the game is inaccessible to casual players.

you don't even need an island for that, even with just premium and buying selling orders and then using focus, is still profit with less movement, same with food

I was doing the math out, and couldnt figure out howto profit. So i googled and found this video.
This literally happens in EVERY mmo. Crafting/Gathering is never profitable in any mmo because of botters. This ALWAYS happens.
Yep. Wish the game would stop the bots from taking over but the system is now built in way that you c only craft your way into money if you have these bots and if not then, sucks to be you I guess?

The only really difference between the mobile and desktop version of the game is controls. Same servers, same economy, same tips, same flaws.
I got 106k in yello zone dungeon from green chest
I didn't even have premium active
I got 460k worth of silver from gold chest from t5 solo dungeon a week or so ago...nowadays loot sucks.

No its honestly too much work and too much of a hassle for the meager profit and buyer markets unless, its ox/mammoth/or rare mount your better off doing something better with your time.

Consider the following, are the resources cheap enough that you're able to profit? Are you able to craft ENOUGH of them to have sufficient returns so that you can create 30% more of the item you're crafting?
Even if something costs you 400k to make a batch of, you should receive around 30% or 133k worth of those materials back.
Now does the crafted item give you a profit from sales? Or are you better off dismantling or studying them for the experience to further your return rates and focus usage later on?

I just started a new guy and did the tutorial but when I went to buy an island, I got a message that said I needed 25 more days of premium. I thought that if you did the tutorial and got the free 3 days, you could buy an island and start harvesting crops? Did they change things?

I think a more fun way to use crafting is to just craft your 4.0/4.1 kits for the RZ/BZ then smash mobs or do dungeons for silver. Screw min/max crafting, just play...

Sounds like the market cost should be higher then for crafted items
If the market cost is higher, nobody's gonna craft anymore. If nobody crafts anymore, the crafted products will rise. If the crafted products rise, crafting will be more profitable. If crafting is more profitable, more people will craft. If more people craft, the price of crafted products will drop. Rinse and repeat m8. How will they rise market prices without messing it all up.

Dungeons are not profitable specially the black zone they just dont give enough back to recover your lost gear if you get killed
Dungeons suck! Corrupted dungeons are better. You can do it for both pvp and pve in yellow zones and you won't lose anything. In red zones however, you can rat through dungeons destroying crystals.
I tried to follow the right path but I do not see profits, easy money is not obtained by being good.
