I was posted in Kashmir understand her and her people. To know the genuine character of Kashmiris one must read the Rajatarangini. Who are the genuine Kashmiris? They belong to the Central Asian Aryan Race and majority have now converted to Semitic Islam. A fine religion like any other. Thus, the Kashmiri Muslims and Kashmiri Pandits are exactly the same people with different religions. I am a Jatt-Sikh and Kashmiris how much in common with us they rarely ever marry outside like us. Even during earlier period the genius Al-Biruni clearly hints at this. The few Kashmiris who have married outside often have family problems or are pseudo-westernized. In general Kashmir has produced great intellectuals and was also during the ancient period an extremely violent region. In short, I love Kashmir and her people. Never also ignore that Kashmir is a region of India (rightfully so) significantly due to the great Maharaja Ranjit Singh Sandhu, Pandit Birbal Dhar (a brave and brilliant individual) and also the brave warrior and wise Raja Gulab Singh Jamwal.
