Fly tyer here. Suggestion - semperfli 200d Nanosilk. Light coat super glue on the thread wraps at the end. Bomb proof.

I was wondering where to get those skirts but you taught me. Just a tip add a drop of crazy glue as you're wrapping?
Have you ever tried Loon products for your head cement? Uses a UV light and sets it hard and very fast. Not cheap though
What size uni-thread are you using? 3/0?
What is the tool called that your using to wrap the tread around the rivet with?
It is called a bobbin'
So is that thread, or wire?

Don't matter..... they all will fit over the wire
How did you pop the pin out of the rivet.
Grab the rivet with a pair of pliers and bang the pin on a piece of wood. 1 decent whack will usually do the trick.
Yea I had some tough rivers. I ended up drilling a hole in my table , turned it up side down and whacked it with a hammer. Nice video. I made a couple the other day. Waiting on 1/2” long rivets before I do anymore
