Your point on using gear that's good as an advantage before other people obtain better kits is super valid. Several wipes ago before the armor changes i found myself a Altyn with a faceshield as well as a slick on wipe day. I ran that for like the first two or three days of the wipe before i finally died. Eventually some mosin man found himself some SNB ammo and 1 tapped my helmet but prior to that it definitely carried me through some fights i shouldn't have won.
Just a note to all with insurance fruading if you are collecting too much insurance back and losing some to timers, insure with therapist as she has a longer hold timer that prapor.
@@killasjanitor a longer hold timer only helps the first time you use it, after that you will either have the same problem as with prapor, for more roubles, or you will go back to prapor and have an opposite and equal effect. I died 6 times in a row yesterday as a solo, but it was some of the most fun ive had. 3 of the 6 six raids I killed 2 PMCS and in 1 raid I ran into a 5 man and killed 4. zero rubles made but hella fun.
regarding insurance frauding, the opposite helped me really get rid of my gear fear. instead of throwing my gear away for another player's gear, i kept it and kept going with it until i eventually died with it. this kind of put into perspective the idea that every item will get lost eventually and its just a part of the game
@@NoGenerals it helped me really have fun this wipe because in previous wipe i found myself using the same guns again, but doing this basically forced me try out a new gun every time i die and now i found the tx15 my new favorite :)
I think a very small percentage of people have "gear fear". For the most part people are afraid of the adrenaline that PvP brings, but have been told in videos or by streamers that it's so-called "gear fear".
I think people can overcome the gearfear after they understand that it pretty easy to farm money on scav. And actually almost every average player has survival rate more than 50%, so you statistically will have more profit raids and don’t even need to farm. Also the less you farm the less you worry about the time you spent on gear, when you die. And don’t forget that better gear give you more chances to survive and probably you want to loose 2 expensive gears and win the 3rd raid rather than loose 20 cheap sets
For me, i think my main issue was always i just couldnt be bothered with dieing, re gearing up and then waiting for the next raid. I dont mind losing gear coz you can just buy it back anyway. This fear of dieing just to do it all over again is what gets me
