      Good for you. Alhamdullah Islam is less of people who are disbelievers. 😊 please follow up on how many people reverting back to Islam alhamdullah from Christianity, atheism, other religions vs the handful of people leaving Islam without any logical reason only either money or emotional reason.
      Also, follow up on debates between as Muslims and Christian (for example recent Daniel, jake vs Robert and Rasheed on PBD) who destroyed your fellow Christians not by muscles but by the well of Allah and the truth of Islam.
      My advice re-think again because life is getting nothing but shorter. If you stand in front of Allah and tell him Jesus is god what will Allah (the father) say? In John 3:17 Jesus addressing the father by he is the only true god and Jesus Christ is a messenger. That is exactly our shahada if you still remember it 😉

    2 Peter 1:16-19
    For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
    Glory to Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

    Of the water that came from Jesus’ side, I would have thought that, as a process of crucifixion, water would develop in the lungs as a result of distention.
    With the held arms up and the weight of the body pulling down, you cannot use the diaphragm, leaving CO2 to accumulate in the lungs, but also fluid (water) that would normally evaporate with regular breathing. At least, that’s what I always expected, but I’m no expert on anatomy or medical sciences.

      Try to not to approach it as in a way to try and convince them. Instead think of it more like being in a garden... You simply just have to plant a few seeds and every once in a while you may have to water them or pull some unwanted weeds, but other than that, God does 99% of the rest of the work for you. Just, plant some seeds and have faith in him to do the rest! Not all, but many will come to the truth in their own time and in their own way. It's already in the scriptures that eventually or one day every tongue will confess that he is Lord! Just have faith and know that it will be done!.

      Planned parenthood builds relationships with our children in elementary so the kids will trust them when they are teens.(part of their marketing plan). Because kids will build trust in adults through relationships in the everyday at this age.

    When the water comes out of the pericardium, the sack that encloses the heart, is how people who have died of a "broken heart" 💔 God loved the world so much, that he sent the Messiah, Savior, to die for ALL the sins: past, present, and future. All it takes to have eternal life is to have trust, pistis in Greek is Trust, a faith that is solely ingrained as truth, and follow Jesus Christ as the only one who can change your life. A trust in your life that by Jesus Christ the entire world changed.
    To deny Jesus Christ is to go against all logic.

    This is an excellent lecture, very persuasive. How ever, i feel like he didn't mention one of the most compelling parts of this whole argument. Just imagine, these followers of Jesus were willing to die for this lie. They were tortured, imprisoned and eventually martyred for this lie and not one recanted this lie. When i consider this fact that was also recorded, i thought to my self, it would not be unreasonable to believe that they truly believed what they had witnessed and what they were saying. Speaking for myself here, if i had heard jesus make some of the unbelievable claims that he made and witnessed some of the supernatural things he did, including raising the dead. Then it would not be difficult for me to believe that he could raise himself from the dead and had eternal life in him. They lost all fear of death so it was worth dying for if eternal life was the prize.

    • @johnboehmer6683
      @johnboehmer6683 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      He did actually mention that when he went through the list of things that left him unconvinced as an atheist. He put it that the claim is, who would actually give their life for this belief, but people do give their lives for beliefs. And there is no debate among historians and scholars that the early believers fully believed that Jesus rose from the dead, and your point further confirms that.
      There's one he didn't mention that has always struck me as strong as well. That is, how could Christianity have spread so unbelievably fast, especially starting in regions of the world where the overwhelming majority already had beliefs of their own in other gods? I think the answer is how we see in the book of Acts how God was moving so powerfully among the disciples in miraculous works, and nothing convinces like being able to see it for yourself, and be the beneficiary thereof.

    What about Luke? Did you know he was a doctor? Yes, he was. Did he have that knowledge? You said none of them had that knowledge. Did any doctor of that first century ever study a corpse? I don't believe any of them did. The only person who I could think of after our Lord exited hell was Leonardo Da Vinci 1500 year after He was resurrected from the grave. I remember you being in court trial, where you talked about being an atheist, and you studied the the four gospels that were written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Their stories are different except they all agreed with each other. One of them written that the centurion who put that spear into his lung said that He was a righteous man. We're going to see him up in heaven. The other Apostle wrote that that centurion said that He was the Son Of God. You were trying to prove that He wasn't Almighty God and instead you found our precious Saviour. Give praise to God for that. Thank you so much for accepting Him.

    And what was the impostor's motive? Why bother setting up such an elaborate scam? And isn't the whole idea anachronistic - they weren't expecting a resurrected Jesus (if they'd expected it, they wouldn't have grieved his death). How did the con man anticipate that this would work? Surely they were more likely to reject the story than believe it.

    Heya! Atheist here, loved your talk as you bring character and life into the topic that is really hard to capture. You are a great speaker.
    Before I give a critique I will give some context. Many atheist will throw around the points you offered (other than the late legend point) to “play on the same field” with Christians, as we often love forcing people to think outside of ridged mindsets which we often broke from, by giving alternate explanations just to test their ideas and see if they have sound proof for their beliefs. No former Christian has become an atheist because “well it could have been a hallucination” for example. We make those points more as an interesting question and a slight challenge for Christian beliefs rather than a key reason for not believing. In that regard I believe you did very well at disproving those points and I have no real critiques of those sections that I can think of at the moment.
    I am saying this in all good faith, but I think you really really dropped the ball on the one point that I really wanted you to focus on and what I would define as the key point in most people’s de-conversion.
    That point being the whole “late legend” point because it seems that you answered it by stating well it’s “not late and he’s not a legend.” To be frank I don’t see any evidence offered for that section which is the key issue. That is the point in which this whole argument can fall apart disastrously and you gave no defense for it which I find baffling. I would love to see you add evidence that Jesus is not a late legend.

      @nicoleayala3532 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! I am just a layperson and definitely no cold case detective, but I’m one who has personally done extensive research on this point for myself and my atheist friends as well. I’d like to take a moment to address the “late legend” point if you’d have me, but hopefully Detective Wallace will respond as well!
      I’d like to start with the dating of the evidence we have in the way of manuscripts. There are over 25,000 whole or partial copies of manuscripts of these eyewitness accounts in over 3 different languages, dating at the oldest to within a century after the events were claimed to have been taken place. The oldest of these is the Ryland’s Papyrus 52 which dates back to between 50AD and 150AD. With the date of Christ’s alleged crucifixion being around 27AD, at the earliest that would have been written within 25 years of the event.
      For contrast, of the writings of secular historians combined (including Plato, Aristotle, Julius Caesar) we have an average of 1-20 manuscript copies each (with a few outliers who have 100-200 each), and the smallest time lapse in between the oldest manuscript copy and the original writing is 750 years. Judging by this data, the reasonable conclusion would be that it’s more likely for the works of the aforementioned secular historians to be “late legends” than the eyewitness accounts of the life of Christ.

    • @nicoleayala3532
      @nicoleayala3532 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But that’s not all. There are also secular historians who wrote between 20 and 100 years after the fact about the events- from an irreligious, secular perspective (Jewish, Greek, Asian and Roman) -that correspond well to the biblical account. These include Cornelius Tacitus, Pliny the Younger, Lucian of Samosata, and Flavius Jocephus. If it were merely a legend, or a conspiracy theory, one would think secular historians wouldn’t include the events in their writings phrased as though they were facts.
      Then we have the archaeological evidence. These include the Pilate Inscription Stone (a stone inscribed with the name Pontius Pilate - Prefect of Judea, carbon dated 4 years before the crucifixion of Christ), the Caiaphas Ossuary (a box of bones beautifully decorated like one would for a high priest, engraved with the name Caiaphas dated back to within the 1st century AD), the Pool of Bethesda (people were confused when the Bible indicated a healing taking place at a pool with five porticoes, and couldn’t imagine something like that existing, until they found a mikveh/ritual bath site in Jerusalem with five porticoes), the Gallup Inscription (a stone engraved with “Julius Gallio, my friend and proconsul” inscribed with a date in spring of AD 52, the precise time Paul would have been in the area writing about Gallio, the Proconsul of Achaia in Acts 18:2)… there’s more but I’ll spare the other details for now. These findings corroborate details of the story that, if it were a “late legend”, the writers of it would have had essentially no chance of getting right, unless all of the writers happened to be individual historical experts who happened to have all their accounts fit together perfectly although there was no chance of communication and conspiracy of this from thousands of miles away from each other.

    • @nicoleayala3532
      @nicoleayala3532 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All that being said, to me, the most compelling evidence that this was not a legend or “late” is prophecy from earlier books. The Great Isaiah Scroll is a 25 foot long parchment dating back to 125 BC that is a complete transcription is Isaiah nearly exactly as we have it today, and there have been fragments of the book of Daniel dating back to the third century BC. Both of these books contain specific prophecies of the Messiah, al of which were fulfilled exactly in Jesus Christ. And these are not things that mere man could have concocted- there are over 300 prophecies and more every day that people are realizing that no one realized before. According to leading mathematicians, the odds of one man fulfilling just 48 of those prophecies is one in 10 to the 157th power. But the most interesting thing is that even the year that He would be baptized and the year He would die on the cross, and that Israel would reject Him and the exact year the gospel would be taken to the gentiles instead? It was all prophecied in the 70 Weeks Prophecy of Daniel 9. It uses the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem which happened by King Artaxerxes in 457 BC as a starting point, says there would be 69 “weeks” (in prophecy a day = a literal year, so 490 years) from that date until the Messiah would be anointed (at His baptism, fall of 27 AD, accounting for the fact that there is no 0-AD year), “cut off but not for Himself” 3.5 years later (crucified - spring of 31 AD), and 3.5 years after that the gospel would be taken to the gentiles (Stephen was stoned in fall of 34 AD, the first martyr for Christ. Acts says Saul was there witnessing it, and shortly thereafter had a vision of Christ and was converted, taking the gospel to the gentiles.)
      I know this is a lot and I’m leaving out many details, it’s difficult to convey over text, but if you happen to want more details I’ve made a site where I’ve been putting as much evidence as I come across and you’re welcome to visit it. landoftheliving.life and hit biblical archaeology.
      Blessings as you look into these things!
