Chivalry is not dead. Many thanks for the courtesy of allowing the Air Asia stewardesses walk ahead of you. You are an adventurous soul. Traveling back and forth between four nations and you don't speak/read/write the lingo is quite an undertaking. What I saw of Laos would be the place for me. Very quiet. For now.....
Excellent stuff Bangkok112! First time I have seen any of your vlogs feature Udon Thani. Guess in terms of Thailand its too far of the beaten track to make it worth doing a dedicated video for the place?
@Hans Von Heckle That's a respectable intake amount per day.... you should let us know your Patreon account so we can help you pay for this. Good job!!
Right about the 2:00 mark you can see the Mixok Inn on the left. Stayed there many times. Vientiane is a nice place if you're looking for peace and quiet. But if you want the party scene better look elsewhere
22:00 We went through the DMK taxi queue last night around 1am. Got a ticket and saw there were 86 people in front of us. Settled in a for a long wait, but the queue was moving very quickly. We were in a taxi 15 minutes later. Very easy and efficient.
How much did you pay for the taxi to the airport ? The meter read 104 THB ! But I guess the driver asked more . Nok flight Udon to Bangkok is usually a B-737 . What month did Nok use a Q400 for Udon to Bangkok. Normally the use the Q400 Udon to Chiang Mai. I am just curious. Thanks for suggesting the Souphaphone GH and Highland Bar.
People have to remember , Lao and Vientiane were under the control of the French ,not the English , you can see the influences everywhere , the street names in French , the arch in the city built by the Chinese but looking very French like the Arch de Triumph and that's why they drive on the different side of the road than the Thais , the French and American side of the road , not the English .
I got upset by taxi drivers having the radio volume super loud.....but then I thought about it and realized it always occurred in late evening hours. I would think the taxi drivers are very tired and turn the volume up to keep them from dozing off....
Another brilliant video 112, thank you. I must have missed it, what was the cost of the flight? Also, imho, you are the BEST vlogger, not only for ASEAN, but for TH-cam itself. I think your style is so chill I automatically relax and am taken away into another adventure. It's like going down a lazy river that you haven't been on before, occasionally some rapids, some moments of risk, but then the river calms down and you arrive at your destination. No one else is doing what you do. 👍🙏💟🍺🍺
That shot at the sleepy riverside cafe with the tattered Lao flag in the background was beautiful. Nice contrast to the hustle and bustle of BKK. Great work. Are you still shooting with the GX7 mkII?
very very good , i've always wanted to go over the friendship bridge but never made it up there, so you just made my day, keep it up very good filming.
Rode a bike all over Vientiene. Stayed a few miles away from the center. Bigger than some think. Got lost one night. A local man took me to my hotel on his scooter. No money asked. Same happened in Hanoi. Nice folks, if you are nice.
Your sandwich reminded me of the "Ham and cheese baguette" I got in the Luang Prabang airport restaurant on my only trip to Laos, 10 or 12 years ago. The bread was good, as usual in Laos, but it tasted mostly of bread and lettuce. I opened it up to see a strip of ham and a strip of cheese, each about three-quarters of an inch wide. running the length of the baguette. I wasn't angry, more amused, and realized again what a poor country Laos was (maybe still is). While there, I constantly felt sympathy for the friendly people, with their crushing poverty and tragic history. I often think of that sandwich when I get a ham sub at a sandwich shop here in the US, with probably half a pound of meat on it. P.S. I loved Beer Lao, too.
I hate how people compare Laos and Thailand and not accept both country as being uniquely different in so many ways! Also how Laos is just recently building itself after the Vietnam War ended while Thailand been developing right through the war and was an American base allies in Thailand during that war.
lol, you might have a drinking problem. Great trip insights, one of these time i want to try and get out of my comfort zone which is Pattaya and head to Laos.
Again a video which brings back memories of Nongkhai and Udon. But I think on this day you drank more beer than I did in my entire life. Is there any toilet aboard the bus? Anyway with so many beers I would be drunk and pee in my pants. 555. Well done you make me travel in my favourite country. When I will retire in two years I hope the thai immigration will ease their regulations. Let's see what will be this" not so high season"! 555, for a domestic flight the stewardesses carry more luggage than me for a 2 month holidays. I'm addicted to the strict 7kg cabin luggage.
On this day the late flights were all 5k baht + when booking last minute. If you book in advance the prices are much more favourable. Thanks for watching :)
Agreed. The taxi line system at Don Mueang is much better than Suvarnabhumi. Never had to wait more than five minutes for a taxi at Don Mueang. Also, Don Mueang taxi guides and drivers are friendlier. 👍
Seriously, how on earth do drink so much and still have the stamina to be out all night? I'm jealous because these days a couple of beers and I want to sleep. Let alone as many as you're having here, LOL.
@Hans Von Heckle tea, Thai tea, coffee, Coke, 7-Up, or just plain water. Consuming beers all the time makes you have a big bellies and girls may not like it.
Who cares if they are prop planes. All I ever ask out of an airline is get the sumbitch in the air, and get it back on the ground in one piece. I'll endure the Ellis Island airports with the stench, the crappy food, the disinterested service. Just get me where I'm going without scattering me across the landscape. But that's just me.....a cranky old guy......lol......
Okay I'm getting a little concerned about the constancy of your beer consumption. Ha, just kidding. It's what anchors the videos, isn't it? A recurring theme.

I'm giving LAO an A+ for driving on the right side. Lol
Interesting to see the change from right to left on the border ( with the rarest traffic sign in the world).
how many beers you drink a week?
That question has kept me happily single for many years.
@@unclerob617Yep. Rude to pose that one until you've been married for many years.
@Hans Von Heckle That's a respectable intake amount per day.... you should let us know your Patreon account so we can help you pay for this. Good job!!
@@unclerob617 BKK 112 was earning $8,000 per month on Patreon when he got booted, apropos of nothing. Talk about a raw deal.
@@coughforme21 ... why was he booted from Patreon? I thought they were much more tolerant than TH-cam monetization.
Nice chilled Lao Vid... Hey, will there ever be a Bkk112 in Burma Vid? I’d like to see what you can show us there... Cheers! ✌🏼😎🍻
Maybe next year, thanks for watching eye grasp! :)

I've stayed there many times too. It can be a bit noisy at night but the small rooms are fine. Thanks for watching :)
@@Bangkok112 True enough... But it's cheap and you usually get a free breakfast in the morning ;) Love the channel. Keep em coming
Man big boy is living the life. Getting paid to drink beers, film videos and travel. Excellent sir.

What altitude do those prop planes fly? Much lower than 30,000 feet I presume.

I enjoy this type of video easy to watch and informative
Why take the bus into Thailand? Why not fly from Vientiane?
I said the same. I flew to Siem Reap from there. And don't like buses.
Intro music was perfect! Good vid as usual bud 👍
Is it a lot cheaper to take the bus to Udon Thani than to fly directly from Vientiane?
I got upset by taxi drivers having the radio volume super loud.....but then I thought about it and realized it always occurred in late evening hours. I would think the taxi drivers are very tired and turn the volume up to keep them from dozing off....
Has the Highland Bar in Vientiane re-opened? I thought it had shut down. Really enjoy your content & witty comments so keep up the good work!
Love these kind of videos.
Do you have a permanent residence in Thailand or do you move from place to place all the time?
Hi buddy what type of visa do you have to come in and out of thailand

BeerLao is such a fabulous lager. The airplane was called sticky rice 🍚 😂
How many people get electricuted here?
Nice video as usual . 🙏🏻
Very good video you made.
very very good , i've always wanted to go over the friendship bridge but never made it up there, so you just made my day, keep it up very good filming.
Where do you hide your cam? Cant see any people staring into it.
In his rectum.
0:53 those trolley dollies are gorgeous
1:57 Bicycling to get a croissant. So decadent. Exactly why I watch your videos.
Why not fly from Vientiene? I flew to Siem Reap from there.
5k baht price on this day for last minute tickets
Which is more poor or to be honest more rich among Vietnam,Laos or Cambodia
I'm quite fond of the smaller planes, especially bombardier. You get a great view of the scenery. BTW you could be the spokesman for Beer Lao 🍻
16:57... that must be one noisy flight !. Lol
20:23 ...... bagging a stewardess in Asia would have to go down as the ultimate prize.
lots of `stewardess at the gogobars` , much easier and cheaper there
Having a right piss up lol i don't blame you, can't wait to get back next year
such a great chilled vibe to this video. been 3 or 4 times to thailand but i really need to go to laos 😍
oh and for all the people mentioning the beer, days like this go so much easier with a little buzz going 😂😂
Rode a bike all over Vientiene. Stayed a few miles away from the center. Bigger than some think. Got lost one night. A local man took me to my hotel on his scooter. No money asked. Same happened in Hanoi. Nice folks, if you are nice.
Nice vid. Things still haven’t changed since 2012 in Laos!!
The buses in Vietnam dont have toilet so I never drink much on the rides. The drivers hate to stop!
2:41 That Swiss cheese looks legit. Can't get cheese like that in Saigon, at least not on a normal sandwich for the normal price.
old videos and the highland bar is now closed i was there 2019 oct
That breakfast looked nice and tasty
Btw did you use the bathroom in the bus after 5 beers 😁
Should have taken the later, quieter flight - could've had a few more beers.
That sandwich made me hungry since I haven't eaten since 8 am, almost 7 hours ago!
The Friendship bridge. Why they call it that? 😁
Thai lao friendship of course
The place you seat before the bus station , i'm used too. So poor the bus station. but i don't know where to find the nice girl in laos,
Those Air Asia stewardesses, very nice looking.

Was the taxi driver deaf?😛
Thx. Love the vid's.
Boring question ! Were there toilets on the bus ? I would never last after drinking beer.
Yes, there are toilets on the buses. thanks for watching :)
You don't like to take Uber?
That jet ski was travelling!
Screw the taxi queue. Catch one at the departures level.

Who drinks beer with ice?
Southeast Asians do.
Thought this was a advertisement for beer.
Nothing can go wrong with a beer in your hand, especially in a mans country????
lol, you might have a drinking problem. Great trip insights, one of these time i want to try and get out of my comfort zone which is Pattaya and head to Laos.
drinking problem I'll say 555

Why didn’t you fly from Vientiane...same price

Beerlao, i want beerlao, i hope they sell in LCBO in Canada.
17:22 Were you expecting Emirates? 🤣
Great video. Thanks
I see you not a beer connoisseur, as the one would not spoil it with the ice.

ALCOOLIST !! CIRROTIC MIND!
GREAT VID BKK112, U R A GOOD MAN TO LET THE LADIES GO FIRST. THANKS....Z....
Love the bridge name
Not a fan of bombadier planes most carryons won’t fit above.
You drink alot
What an under statement
nice to fly in a Lindberg special once in awhile....
Someone had the taste that day🍺
No matter how much we drink the night before, God save coffie! we always have coffie in the mornig - Peace -
beerlao is also my favorite
Sad for that expat...
You drink beers like drinking water.
@Hans Von Heckle tea, Thai tea, coffee, Coke, 7-Up, or just plain water. Consuming beers all the time makes you have a big bellies and girls may not like it.
Very informative video if you're a geography buff like me.Thanks.
I LOVE THAILAND :D MY FAVORITE PLACE IS PHUKET :)

come back to Nana Plaza we miss you all is forgiven
Yeah, you were right. You should have stayed in Laos.
....so then it didn’t bother me as much if I used that rationale
21:10 red..red..ain't no substitute for red!
👍 Thanks
You just like me on every corner i must have a beer to stand the next minute
I give one extra thumb up
for the red dress AirAsia Stewardess
cheers...from germany frankonia (the home of beer) 😎
agreed, beer Lao is fantastic although I have a preference for Leo whilst in the Kingdom eating pet mak food! BTW you drink too much mate!
cheers :)
Okay I'm getting a little concerned about the constancy of your beer consumption.
Ha, just kidding. It's what anchors the videos, isn't it? A recurring theme.
112 you have earnt enough money now isn't it time to buy yourself a private jet to save messing about at check in....?
Excellent video! Sok dii der!
15:23 Spy is the nastiest shit I've ever tasted. Super fruity and super sugary. Most Thai girls seemed to like it though.
Nothing like Air Asia...😉
That’s the way of life! Great outro with nice music!
You can fairly knock them beers down yer, fair play :)
be careful though you dont want to end up like cheap charlie :)
Eight beers, one glass of wine and a ham and cheese croissant! Typical Bangkok 112 video.
Now that's a sammich
