Hi Kel's awesome video again thanks. Didn't know you were moonlighting making diy videos 😅. You can see that your dad and you have a amazing working relationship. That is one very clean sample thanks again take care and be safe 👍 😊.
Hi! :) Thanks so much! Sorry for late reply! I love diy projects yes lol! Might be more videos of that ahead :) lol. Thanks! It’s great to work with dad towards a common goal! Harvest is the best time of year :) Thanks for watching!
Hi! :) Sorry for late reply! Yes! Lots of deer in that area lol. That’s awesome you went hunting! I love deer hunting! Hope you’re having a safe and wonderful week!
Hi! :) Sorry for late reply! We have GPS (a guidance system) that can be used for our combine, in beans I use it a lot, but not always. In corn, I steer a lot but I do have feelers on the head that allow the guidance too, just drive it a lot for a preference way of harvesting :) I do both though! Thanks for watching! Hope you’re having a great week! :)
Hey Kels, last year I broke a sickle on our Mac Don fd2 35 foot head, but we got by with it another year with no breakage we are trading for a 40 foot double drive because of that reason we wanted a bigger head anyway we didn’t want to go with a single drive with a 40 footer with an 8260 Machine which was great this year with the new Pro 1200 displays,Yes we wrapped up harvest last Monday I’m in the process of cleaning the machine which is the worst job of the year😩!! Hopefully you’re getting close to done is your video was back in October here, i’d like to try the new AF nine that would be awesome but I think that’s too much, too much money as well!
Hi! :) Thanks for sharing! Sorry for late reply! Awesome to hear you got by with the sickle , and that’s very exciting to make the switch to a 40 foot double drive! I hope that goes greatly for you! :) Awesome to hear from farm folk out there! Yes, my videos are weeks behind, but the wrap up to harvest is coming very soon on my videos! :) I agree! The 11 would be awesome too! lol but too much money! lol Have a great day!
@ That’s OK Kels, you don’t always have to reply I know you’re busy I’m busy hauling corn this month down to the river terminal in Morris Illinois, they’re having trouble getting barges, so they’ve been closed a couple of days this week haven’t got much done this week, but it always gets delivered eventually.
Shoutout to your dad for that combine maneuver-navigating those fence posts like a champ! Farmers truly are the ultimate problem solvers. 👏

Are you able to resharpen the sickle blade a use it again?
Do you not use GPS steering in your combine? You appear to be steering it.
