I tried enamaling many years ago and although it was fun, I never fund it satisfying, probably because my results were never satisfying, they were o.k. After watching Jan’s videos over and over again I finally grasp the concepts that I never fond anywhere else and for the very first time am dry sifting my enamels with the most satisfying results. Heaps of appreciation for the videos and the sharing of knowledge.
AGREE WITH ALL! Jan's videos are so crammed full of great instruction and helpful tips and I have learned so much from her! Keep 'em coming, Jan and CT!
Jan did you have a book? I would like to live in Texas to learn from you but I live in Australia. I am receiving enamel class short course, is more for fun, but I would like to study more about enamel. I was in Huston for Christmas and it’s beautiful. 😊

Thank you for these wonderful videos. I really appreciate your expertise and your easy step by step instructions.. I am a silversmith and I have never done enameling. I am looking forward to trying transparent enameling on textured pieces. I would like to know if it’s possible to enamel a piece that has a bezel for a stone within the enameled piece? What process and how to keep the enamel off of the bezel. Would the wet enamel process work best?
Hello, thank you for watching. Yes, wet packing would be the best process for a bezel. You can watch how this is done 20 minutes into our video here: th-cam.com/video/O0oz5rJ5Zdc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QmsvEGZue_tsFjT6

@@marciaeveritt7958 Thank you for clarifying. You can also use design stencils or Sunshine Enamels to paint a design on for the back. This would be our recommendation, unfortunately Jan does not have a video specifically showing what she does to the back.
Don't waste your time annealing it when you sand the piece down...its not work hardened that way...only thru rolling, hammering, stretching and forming like bending, twisting...but sanding and grinding does not aneal the piece...it removes material❤🎉
I am not familiar with this and I am not a jewellery maker. If you put a list of materials will be helpful. And please don’t avoid steps because is confused. Your classes are very good but not for beginners like me. Thanks to share 😊

How do you make the dual enameled pendant with a design on the back?
Hi Marcia, can you tell us which pendant you are wondering about?
Jan Harrell’s enameling and riveting
@@marciaeveritt7958 Her enameling and riveting technique is shown in this video.
CoolToolsVideos she talks about putting a design in the counter enamel, so it looks good on both sides. Doesn’t explain how to do it.

Just need 10,000 in tools and supplys and you too can make jewelry
A wooden ring holder would be better then those pliers and wouldn’t mark your work!
