What I like about Albert Lee is he is just a pure picker. No distortion,no effects, just a pure country twang via picking. He has become my favourite guitarist very quickly.Wish I had a tenth of his musical talent and ability. He is a real guitar player.
Saw him live a couple of years ago in a tiny club(50 People)in my hometown with H HEROES.....MINDBOGGLING AND a niiiice gentleman.....we spoke afterwards......i bow in humble admiration....
Souverän, musikalisch, einfach eins mit seiner Gitarre und dem Stück. Er dominiert nie, ist immer integriert, aber er prägt den Charakter. Einmalig. Eine Ikone!!
The thing with Albert Lea which is really unique and what a lot of people don’t realize is that he’s not just got great technique and speed. The biggest thing that makes him stand apart from other players is his ability to improvise and play the piece of music completely differently every time he plays it, the endless ideas that he produces with speed fluency timing and swing is never the same on any song. I am not sure how he does this because lots of guitarists can learn a solo or a challenging piece of music note for note by copying it, but Albert will play it different every night and it will sound incredible.
Albert is the man! That bender work toward the end is priceless. Used a lot but still not overdone and oh so smooth as always. Say what ya want about the chorus or direct 80s as some say but I still love it too. The master of clean tones right there. And when you play clean you gotta be good at it!
Eric Clapton said that Albert was “the best guitarist in the world” and the wonderful and beautiful EmmyLou Harris said “it was a pleasure to be his singer!”...and he was the guitarist in HER band! He’s also a complete gentleman and long may he pick that guitar!
Tombstone Harry Studios I met Albert a few week ago, and I second that, yes, he is most definitely a gentlemen, and quite possibly the best guitarist in the world, but very modest and down to earth.
You don't play in Emmylou's Hot Band, then do five years with Eric Clapton and an amazing 25 years with the Everley Brothers without being a bit special. Albert is more than 'a bit'! They all know him and they all love him - like we do!
To my amazement I am only now discovering who this guy is (or what he has done) after seeing a video of foggy mountain breakdown with Steve Martin & Earl Scruggs. OMG how did I miss such a guitarist......
Check out the studio video of Albert laying down a track for Dave Edmunds' Sweet Little Lisa. Its great! Also listen to what Nick Lowe said to him afterwards... lol
Albert Lee is the reason that i play guitar today, also my brother lee got me into music along time ago. If you want to see how he plays go to the music man booth in the namm show i think it is 2014 and watch him play, you will not be disappointed . Albert can put a guitar into cardiac arrest and like having it done to it as well.
Nope, I had that actual guitar at my house in storage while we were on a tour break (I was his guitar and backline tech) I can assure you its all him haha

I've met Albert. He's so humble and gracious to his fans and happy to chat.
Imagine having Albert playing lead guitar on your record! What an honor!
simple and beautiful guitar playing

Class guitarist and musician👍👍👍👌
At last, Albert is playing something at a speed I can keep up with, well, almost 😂, love this guy.
Love Albert's tone. Could listen to him forever .

Albert Lee has the magic touch - i adore his timing, sound, groove, speed - simply wonderful

Being able to improvise this well at this level is rare indeed. He's a very unique musician.
"Albert Lea" is in Minnesota. ;)

Harry if you're still around I love my Emmylou and Albert so much I'm going to buy the vinyl when it becomes available.
He's more enjoyable than Clapton!
Makes it look so easy!

There is no better lead guitarist than Albert Lee.
I'm sorry, but there are many.
He is just a copier with a weak tone and has no original style.
DigNap15 Way to argue an opinion with an opinion, man.
@@Digmen1 Dunderheed!
simply the best
Der ist so scheisse cool.
Ich freu mich auf das Konzert demnächst in unserem kleinen Lüchow...
the master!
great to see him at work in the studio. He really supports the character of the song without showing off or something.

Amazing B-Bender lines.. wow
love how once he had the chord structure down, he immediately found all the different influxes he could add to it
Genial
Un très grand guitariste. Je le met au niveau de Duane Allman . Comme lui il a accompagné nombre d'artistes renommés.
Guitarist of the guitarists!
Let’s go it again.....and then plays it differently
wow is my friend!
He has a special guitar made with no wrong notes on it?

@@vanmorg Well please let him know that I struggle to keep up with him even playing air guitar to his songs! ;)

No sound here!?
Can you repost it with sound?
Thanx.
I have Sound on my end. I’m not sure what’s going on on yours. Sorry about that.
what song of this video?
Great guitarist, and I hear the vocalist is good but with these type of recordings the vocal isn't heard, probably an Iphone recording.
He drinks my favorite bottled water: Crystal Geyser.
There's no sound
There's sound, but only in the right channel…
